Pink Tutu Blog: Paris - Post 1289

Bonjour, mon petit chou-chous! It's Saturday, and you know what that means – it's Pink Tutu time! This week, I'm channeling my inner Parisian princess, straight from the heart of the City of Lights, ready to paint the town pink, one tutu at a time.

Whizzing through Europe in Style

The EuroStar whisked me away from Derbyshire this morning, like a magic carpet ride, transporting me to a world of croissants and café au lait. Honestly, there’s no better way to travel than by train – you can sip champagne, soak up the views, and feel like you’re in a classic film. It's all so wonderfully romantic!

Paris, Je T'aime!

Oh, Paris, how I love you! You’re always so chic, elegant and enchanting, and never cease to leave me utterly spellbound. As soon as I arrived at Gare du Nord, I felt the familiar Parisian energy buzzing around me – a mixture of history, charm, and unbridled fashion inspiration.

My First Stop: A Ballet Extravaganza

No trip to Paris is complete without a dose of ballet, and I wasn't going to disappoint. Today’s highlight was the magnificent "La Bayadère" at the Palais Garnier, a performance so mesmerizing I felt like I was floating on a cloud. I just loved the elaborate costumes, the delicate grace of the dancers, and the captivating music that took me to another world. Of course, I couldn’t resist a bit of twirling myself afterwards in the foyer. That’s how we roll, darling!

Finding Inspiration in the Shops

There's nothing like a Parisian shopping spree! I wandered through the cobbled streets of the Marais district, my heart aflutter with excitement at the sight of the beautiful boutiques. I unearthed the most amazing pink floral kimono at a little independent store – perfect for twirling in style on a sunny Parisian afternoon. Plus, you can never have too many shoes! I fell in love with a pair of cherry-red satin pumps that looked straight out of a French film, perfect for my upcoming Parisian tea party (more on that later!).

Afternoon Delight: A Parisian Picnic

The afternoon sun was beckoning me towards the Champs-Élysées, and what better way to enjoy it than with a picnic? I picked up a basket full of Parisian delights from a quaint little boulangerie, filled with freshly baked pastries, decadent cheeses, and juicy fruits. Finding a cozy spot on the manicured lawns of the Tuileries Gardens, I took my time, savouring every bite of Parisian perfection. Of course, a little picnic wouldn’t be complete without some light stretching and ballet poses. After all, a tutu-clad ballerina can never resist a twirl, especially when surrounded by such beauty!

A Culinary Extravaganza

For dinner, I embraced the epitome of French cuisine – a candlelit meal at a traditional Parisian bistro. I indulged in the classic coq au vin, its rich and hearty flavors transporting me straight to a cozy village nestled in the French countryside.

Street Entertainment and A Magical Ending

A delightful surprise awaited me on the way back to my hotel. A group of talented street musicians were filling the air with beautiful melodies, creating an atmosphere both magical and uplifting. I simply couldn’t resist joining them for a impromptu dance, my tutu twirling in rhythm with the music, my spirit lifted by the vibrant energy of this amazing city.

A Bit About Today’s Date…

Did you know today, September 7th, is International Day of the Ballerina? I simply can't think of a better day to celebrate all things ballet and feminine grace! So put on your dancing shoes, let your inner ballerina shine, and celebrate this glorious art form with me.

Parisian Inspiration – The Tutu Challenge

My biggest mission is to spread the love for pink tutus around the globe! Every day, I see people in Paris embracing fashion with style and joy – the bold colours, the statement pieces, the playful mix of styles. It inspires me! So, today, I challenge you, my darling readers, to embrace your inner ballerina. Don’t be afraid to twirl! Go outside, feel the wind in your hair, let your spirits soar! Let your own personal style shine through. And if you do decide to slip on a pink tutu, make sure to snap a picture and tag me on Instagram - @PinkTutuBlogger!

Post Scriptum:

It wouldn’t be a Paris post without a few special tips for my fellow fashionistas!

My Parisian Fashion Must-Haves:

  • A Statement Scarf: It's the perfect way to add a touch of Parisian chic to any outfit. Choose one in a bright color or a bold print, and tie it around your neck, your handbag, or even your head!
  • A Stylish Beret: You'll feel like a Parisian chic in no time! Pick one in a classic colour, such as black or burgundy, and wear it proudly.
  • Classic Ballerina Flats: These shoes are the epitome of Parisian style. I love mine in a delicate pink with a touch of glitter.
  • A Chic Clutch Bag: Every girl needs a stylish clutch bag, and this one should be elegant and petite. Think patent leather or velvet.
  • A Chic Pair of Sunglasses: These are the perfect way to add a touch of cool Parisian style to your look!

A Little Secret from Emma: While I am still in my early twenties, it's an amazing age to be discovering the beauty of the world. There is a lot of fun to be had with dressing up and twirling! I am fortunate to fund my travel dreams by performing and showcasing my passion for ballet! It’s a busy but very rewarding way to life!

Until next Saturday, my dear chouchous, stay beautiful and remember to embrace your inner ballerina!

Xx
