Pink Tutu Travels: Paris! (Post #1305) 🩰🗼
Bonjour, darlings! It's your favourite pink-tutu-clad ballerina, Emma, back with another Paris escapade! It's Saturday morning and I'm already buzzing with excitement after arriving in the City of Lights yesterday. This is my 17th trip to Paris (not including day trips!), and every time I feel like a little girl in a candy shop… a seriously glamorous and chic candy shop, of course. 😉
As usual, I decided to travel in style, aboard the glorious Eurostar! It's always such a fun and relaxing way to cross the channel. I always try to nab a window seat for those incredible views of the English countryside whizzing past. I might be wearing my signature pink tutu and a fluffy pink cardigan, but that doesn't mean I can't be sophisticated, right? My secret is in the accessories. A delicate gold necklace with a miniature ballerina charm, my favourite leather satchel overflowing with novels and my ever-present ballet shoes in their carrying bag… yes, they're pink too!
Speaking of fashion, it goes without saying that Paris is a haven for style. Even the shopkeepers and metro staff are radiating a Parisian cool. I've already snagged a darling vintage pink beret and a beautiful silk scarf with intricate floral embroidery. I'm determined to find the perfect pair of ballet flats in a colour I haven't got yet (pink, obviously!).
A Week of Ballet and Bows
Now, Paris isn't just about croissants and couture. I've booked tickets to see "The Sleeping Beauty" at the Opéra Garnier. You can’t have a trip to Paris without experiencing the majesty of a ballet at this magnificent venue, can you? This is the performance that truly kickstarted my ballet passion, so I have very sentimental feelings towards it! I can’t wait to be enveloped in the magic and artistry. And, of course, I’ll be rocking my most exquisite pink tutu. I might even buy a little something for the performance!
After my ballet performance, I plan on visiting a lovely Parisian tea salon near the Louvre, where I'm determined to enjoy a decadent slice of millefeuille and a pot of tea served in dainty bone china. (It’s going to be pink china, of course!) I'm even contemplating an afternoon ballet class at one of the esteemed studios here. They're just brimming with talent, so I'm hoping to absorb a little Parisian je ne sais quoi for my own moves!
I've also earmarked the Latin Quarter for a day of charming antique shops and independent boutiques. Maybe I'll finally find a unique pink teapot to take back to my flat in Derbyshire, where I'm sure my neighbours are wondering why there are pink tutus in all my window displays! 😂
The Magic of Paris
Honestly, darlings, Paris has a way of making you feel utterly inspired, regardless of your artistic interests. There's a certain je ne sais quoi that washes over you as you stroll through the beautiful streets, breathing in the atmosphere, watching street performers with their soulful melodies, admiring the Parisian elegance... It's just magical!
I can’t wait to explore all the Parisian beauty in store this week! Don’t forget to join me next Saturday for another blog post about my pink tutu Parisian adventures! Bisous! 😘
