#PinkTutuBlogParis - Post 1320 - Parisian Adventures in Pink!

Bonjour, mes amis!

The sun is shining, the air is filled with the sweet scent of freshly baked croissants and I am officially smitten with Paris. As you all know, Saturday is Pink Tutu Blog day, and this week I’m bringing you the sights and sounds of the City of Lights!

This Parisian adventure was a dream come true. I've been saving up for this trip for months, juggling my ballet performances and classes. Travelling to France on the Eurostar is my favourite way to travel. There's something about the sleek, fast trains that gets me excited for adventures. You could say I'm a bit of a train fanatic! (And let's face it, it’s so much easier than a long, stressful flight).

I touched down in Paris this week, feeling every bit the Parisian chic. (The colour of the sky was just the right shade of pink this morning for my perfectly-pink, full length tulle skirt to be absolutely on point!). I love a well-structured pink tutu, and Paris seemed the perfect place to unleash its full, flowing glory!

Fashion, Frenchie Style!

You guys know I can’t resist a good Parisian boutique! Let’s face it, it's impossible to go to the City of Lights and not want to fill your wardrobe with all the stunning fabrics and fashions! There are just so many incredible stores to be discovered – tucked down charming side streets and buzzing with the buzz of the capital! This week’s loot was the ultimate haul: a beautiful pale pink floral embroidered linen top with billowing sleeves, a blush pink feather boa for my theatre adventures and a delicate chain necklace adorned with the cutest tiny ballerina figurines. Oh, and I did pop into that incredible pink shoe boutique down Rue du Faubourg Saint-HonorĆ©, but unfortunately my budget wouldn’t quite stretch to that dreamy pair of stilettoes… yet. But there’s always next time!

A Dreamy Ballet Journey

This trip is all about celebrating ballet, so what better way to start than a trip to the Palais Garnier? You just can’t beat the history and grandeur of this iconic building. From the sweeping marble staircase to the opulent grand foyer, every detail exudes opulence and beauty. And the performance? Magnificent. ā€œGiselleā€ was on tonight and the whole atmosphere felt almost electric, the sheer passion and elegance of the ballet leaving me breathless. I even had the pleasure of meeting the ballerina, Sylvie Guillem, after the performance! She is a legend and such an inspiration. Her passion for ballet, and how she brings such intensity and passion to every move was something I’ll never forget. (I'm pretty sure my fangirl moment was caught on camera… oops!)

* Parisian Delights and Indulgent treats!*

Okay, so you know my favourite part of any holiday is the food! (Especially when paired with the right tutu!). Let me tell you, Paris knows how to spoil your senses! This week, I have tasted the most divine Parisian delights. From fluffy croissants to delicious pastries, mouth-watering macarons and perfect little crĆØme brĆ»lĆ©e - there’s just something about those classic French flavours that’s pure magic.

Of course, no trip to Paris is complete without a beautiful picnic by the Seine. And of course, I made sure my pink-tutu-clad self was looking the part (with an elegant, black satin shawl and some perfect pink ballerina flats)!

And don't get me started on the cute cafes and charming little bistros dotted around every corner. Let's just say that coffee and tea, and lots of little pastel cakes and croissants were definitely consumed. But hey, that's all part of the Parisian experience, right?!

Discovering Paris: A Pink Tutu Perspective

The City of Lights really has a special magic. As a pink tutu devotee, it’s hard not to find a bit of pink in everything! The flower market in the Place des Vosges is filled with blooming roses in various shades of pink. And, let’s be honest, nothing screams ā€˜French chic’ quite like the iconic, Eiffel Tower… especially when framed with a billowing, pale pink, silk tutu! (Who am I kidding? Paris makes every outfit look extra stylish).

And, when it comes to Parisian street performances, there is something magical about watching buskers strumming on their instruments, with the sun reflecting on their gold painted instruments and … (you guessed it!)… a dash of pink glitter scattered across their fingertips. It’s like every inch of Paris has a little bit of that sparkling, artistic, magic.

So what are my Parisian adventures so far? In short? Exquisite! But, stay tuned my tutu-wearing friends, this Parisian story has only just begun! Next week’s blog post is all about Parisian gardens and amazing tea parties … I promise it’ll be a real delight!

As ever, my lovely pink tutu followers, I’d love to hear from you! Let me know what your favourite places in Paris are… And who knows, maybe next time we could have a Parisian tutu dance-off?!

Au revoir, my friends! And remember… never forget to spread a little bit of pink!

Love, Emma.
