Bonjour mes chéries! It's Saturday, which means it's time for another pink-tutu-tastic Parisian adventure! This week I've been living my best Parisian life, exploring the City of Lights and indulging in all the delights that this beautiful city has to offer. From strolling through stunning gardens to witnessing captivating theatrical performances, this trip has truly been a dream come true!
And as always, I couldn't resist slipping into a brand new, blush pink tutu, because what's a Parisian adventure without a touch of feminine flair? It truly does add that extra sprinkle of magic to any experience, whether it be taking photos by the Eiffel Tower or enjoying a decadent Parisian pastry!
A Whirlwind Journey
Let's rewind the clock, shall we? Last week I was back in my Derbyshire home, dancing my way through rehearsals, when suddenly, the idea for a Parisian adventure took root in my ballerina brain. With the twinkle of excitement in my eye and the echo of the Parisian waltz in my heart, I booked my ticket on the Eurostar. It's so much fun! There's nothing quite like zipping through the countryside in a comfy train carriage, dreaming up all the adventures awaiting me in the city of love.
My Parisian Paradise
Tuesday, 2025-07-08: Upon arrival at Gare du Nord, my heart was racing. A city teeming with history, art, and deliciousness was at my fingertips! This was it, ladies! I finally set foot in Paris, and the only thing on my mind was getting to my adorable Airbnb apartment in Montmartre. Its location is perfect! With the vibrant Sacré-Coeur Basilica just steps away, I've been soaking up the local atmosphere, enjoying the colourful bustle of Montmartre's street performers and the aroma of freshly-baked croissants.
Wednesday, 2025-07-09: Wednesday started with a little bit of Paris in my tutu. A trip to the famous department store Printemps was in order, of course! The sheer array of fashion was truly dizzying. Think lace, silk, vibrant prints and elegant fabrics... My purse might have taken a little hit, but I simply couldn't resist a stunning pale pink silk scarf to pair with my new blush tutu. This afternoon, I was treated to an enchanting performance by the legendary Opéra National de Paris. Ballet, in Paris, under the glittering chandelier - the perfect Parisian experience, if you ask me!
Thursday, 2025-07-10: Paris is a city that never sleeps! And I am more than happy to oblige. Thursday saw me enjoying an evening of cultural immersion in the heart of Paris, exploring the breathtaking galleries of the Musée du Louvre. The intricate details of Da Vinci's "Mona Lisa" still leave me in awe. Even amidst masterpieces, I still managed to catch myself gazing at the reflection of the Louvre's iconic pyramid, dreaming of all the creative adventures that awaited me in this captivating city.
Friday, 2025-07-11: Feeling energized and inspired, I had to do some ballet shopping. My Parisian adventure wouldn't be complete without a stop at the Ballet Rose boutique in the Marais district. This place is a treasure trove for every ballerina's dreams. After finding the perfect pink tutu ribbon (with matching ballet slippers, of course!), I took a delightful afternoon stroll through the enchanting Jardin du Luxembourg, enjoying the sunshine and the beauty of the gardens. This garden is an oasis of calm in the hustle of the city. It's so peaceful! It makes you feel like you are strolling through a painting.
Saturday, 2025-07-12: My Parisian Rendezvous
Today is the day, ladies! I am taking in a special cabaret performance tonight! Cabaret de Paris is famous for its dazzling spectacle. With feather boas and flamboyant costumes galore, I'm excited to experience a little bit of Paris's Moulin Rouge flair! As I write this blog, I am about to step onto the Parisian streets and join the vibrant atmosphere, swirling in my blush pink tutu. I know tonight's show will be unforgettable! My ballerina heart is full!
