It's Emma here, your favourite tutu-tastic blogger, reporting live from the City of Lights! Yes, I'm in Paris, my loves, and I'm absolutely giddy with excitement! This trip has been a long time coming, ever since I first discovered my passion for Paris through watching "Amélie" on repeat (I know, such a cliche!). But Paris is truly a city that captures the imagination, and for someone like me, obsessed with all things whimsical, magical, and utterly beautiful, well, it's basically a dream come true.
A Dream Trip Starts with a Dream Journey
I've been saving up for this Parisian escapade for months, funded by my ballet performances back in Derbyshire (it's amazing what a bit of pirouette magic can do!). To get here, I chose the most glamorous mode of transport: Eurostar! Honestly, who needs a plane when you can be whizzing through the Channel Tunnel in a stylish high-speed train? And of course, my trusty pink tutu was in tow - what's a Paris trip without a bit of twirling, eh?
My Paris Diary: Day One
The moment I stepped off the train at Gare du Nord, I felt that unique Parisian energy pulsating around me. I've got to tell you, the air in Paris smells divine! It's a symphony of buttery croissants, blooming lilacs, and freshly-brewed coffee. I'm in love.
Breakfast like a Princess
My first stop was, naturally, a boulangerie. I had to sample those iconic French pastries - the ones I've been dreaming about for weeks. Croissant, pain au chocolat, and a macaron, all washed down with a delightful café au lait. Heaven! I was all set to explore, fuelled by carbs and the Parisian magic.
Pink Tutu Fashion Fun
I’d picked a delicate pink tutu with delicate floral embroidery, perfectly paired with a crisp white blouse, and a matching headband. This is a city where style truly is an art form, and I’m ready to play my part. Who knows, maybe I’ll inspire a new Parisian trend: pink tutus for everyone! 😉
Bonjour from the Seine
No visit to Paris is complete without a cruise on the Seine. As the boat glided down the river, the city’s architectural marvels unfolded before me - the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, and the Louvre. It was a breathtaking experience.
Ballet Bliss: The Palais Garnier
The pièce de résistance was a breathtaking performance at the Palais Garnier Opera House. Seeing a ballet in this iconic building was a dream come true. It was truly a dazzling spectacle - beautiful dancers, stunning costumes, and a magical atmosphere. I felt my own love of dance, my own love for this beautiful art form, bursting inside me.
Evening Delight: Montmartre Magic
We walked around Montmartre, admiring the iconic Sacré-Cœur Basilica and soaking up the vibrant artistic atmosphere of this historic neighborhood. A little dinner in a quaint bistro and I was feeling all the Parisian vibes. The twinkling lights, the friendly locals, the warm, inviting atmosphere… I was in heaven!
What's on for the week:
I'm determined to pack my Parisian adventure with as many magical moments as possible. This week, my calendar is bursting with delightful things:
Tuesday:
- A whirlwind of Parisian fashion at the Galeries Lafayette department store! (Maybe a little tutu shopping will be in order?)
- Lunch at the charming Les Deux Magots, a classic Parisian café, with its history and atmosphere.
Thursday:
- An afternoon in the enchanting Tuileries Gardens - I can't wait to twirl beneath the shade of the trees!
Saturday:
- A romantic walk through the charming Latin Quarter, where history and culture blend beautifully.
Sunday:
- And finally, a chance to say 'au revoir' to the City of Lights.

There's so much more I want to discover - from exploring hidden alleyways to indulging in macaron-making classes. Oh, and you bet I’m going to take a picture with the Eiffel Tower…in my pink tutu, of course! I’ll be posting updates on my blog each week.
