Bonjour mes chères amies!
I’m back in Paris, the city of love, and it’s all thanks to a magical Eurostar journey! If there's one thing I adore more than a twirling tutu, it's a train journey - especially a journey on the Eurostar! I swear the very clickety-clack of the rails gets my creative juices flowing, and I could almost write a whole blog post just about that.
But I'm in Paris! Let's leave the train chatter behind for now, and delve into the delights of the City of Lights!
This week's theme? Pink perfection, of course! But before I show off my latest pink purchases, I simply had to share the fabulous news!
On February 7th, 2026, Paris is celebrating "Pink Friday" at the gorgeous Musée des Arts Décoratifs. Now, if that's not an excuse for a glorious pink extravaganza, I don't know what is! It's a full day of talks, workshops, exhibitions, and even a spectacular fashion show, all revolving around the fabulous colour pink! I've booked myself a front row seat for the show, and I've even picked out my perfect pink tutu - a confection of feathers and sequins that will truly sparkle under the Paris lights.
But Pink Friday isn't the only thing happening in Paris! The world of dance is alive with activity. The Opéra Garnier is showcasing a brand-new interpretation of Giselle this week, a production renowned for its dramatic sets and exquisite costumes. Naturally, I couldn't miss out. Ballet in Paris, pink tutu in hand - is it possible for things to be any more wonderful?
Of course, I have my usual Parisian routines planned as well! Who could come to Paris and not explore the cobbled streets? This time I'm going to make a beeline for the chic boutiques of the Marais district. I’m already dreaming about those buttery soft pink leather gloves, the Parisian cafes and their creamy lattes, and the chic Parisian ladies and their impeccable Parisian style.
Speaking of chic, I've got a delightful new pink tutu just begging to be worn for a Parisian afternoon! It’s the colour of a blushing rose, with layers of delicate tulle and sparkling embroidery. And the best part? I designed it myself! You see, one of my dreams is to one day launch my own couture line. Until then, I’m perfecting my designs on myself, and trust me, Paris is the best stage for showcasing my creations.
But before I indulge in any Parisian escapades, let’s get right down to business – pink!
I know you girls have been wanting a sneak peek at my Paris haul, and trust me, there's plenty of pink perfection to share! It all started on the Eurostar. I was reading the latest issue of Vogue Paris when I spotted the most exquisite pair of pink kitten heels! A soft blush pink with a dainty pearl embellishment on the toe. Perfect for twirling! I didn't hesitate a moment. It would have been an absolute fashion faux pas to miss out on such loveliness.
In Paris, my hunt for the perfect pink continues! My first stop? Le Bon Marché. Honestly, it's like walking into a pink princess’s dreamland! You can find literally anything pink you could possibly dream of, from delicate floral scarves to elegant handbags to the most divine pink cashmere sweaters. My purse was screaming in protest, but my heart couldn't help but adore everything! I ended up with a stack of soft, pale pink ribbons - perfect for embellishing my tutu.
Of course, no Parisian adventure is complete without a trip to Printemps! You won’t be surprised to know I headed straight to their amazing shoe department. They have the most fabulous display of pastel pinks, dusty rose and hot pink! Honestly, you’d need a whole blog post just for this department! But in the end, I simply couldn’t resist a pair of stylish blush pink ballet flats with a dainty pink bow!
So much for sticking to my budget. Who could resist such elegance, my dears?
And it's not just about the clothes! I found the most delightful pink pastries at a cute patisserie on a quaint side street. Imagine the most delicious macarons - in every shade of pink imaginable! Oh, and I did I mention they were topped with tiny edible rose petals? Pink, floral, and scrumptious? Yes, please!
The most exciting thing I found? Well, I discovered a tiny shop filled with vintage hats! And I mean, vintage hats! They even had a selection of elegant pink satin hats with tiny veils, so naturally I snapped one up.
So there you have it - just another week of pink perfection in the city of love.
