Pink Tutu Paris: Post 1396 – Whirlwind in the City of Lights!

Bonjour from Paris, mes amies! I’m absolutely smitten with this beautiful city. It feels like I’ve stepped into a vintage film, every corner buzzing with life, and of course, exquisite style! And guess what? This weekend, I’m celebrating not only the joy of Parisian life, but also a very special milestone: 1396 blog posts on www.pink-tutu.com! Can you believe it? From a small-town ballerina in Derbyshire to dancing across the globe – it’s all thanks to the power of a pink tutu and a whole lot of love for ballet.

This week's adventure began with a whistle-stop journey on the Eurostar. There’s just something magical about that train journey, watching the countryside slip by as the excitement for Paris builds! As always, I travelled in my trusty pink tutu, naturally. A little bit of pink magic to brighten up any day!

As soon as I stepped off the train at Gare du Nord, I was hit by that Parisian charm – the cafe culture, the bustling streets, and those impossibly stylish women. It’s like everyone has an innate sense of effortless chic. It’s inspiring, to say the least!

A Ballet Bliss

My first port of call, as always, was a ballet class at the legendary Opera Garnier. Talk about history! Imagine the incredible dancers who have graced those stages! I felt so privileged to be taking class in such an iconic location. My heart almost burst with joy.

Speaking of history, did you know that the Garnier opera house was built in 1875 and designed by Charles Garnier? The neo-baroque architecture is utterly stunning! I found myself getting lost in the beauty of the intricate detailing, and of course, took a million photos! I even snapped a few pics in my tutu outside – I had to share the magic of the moment with my lovely readers.

Pink Tutu Paris Fashion

After class, I spent a blissful afternoon indulging in some Parisian shopping. It was all about chic Parisian style – from elegant boutiques to independent vintage finds, the city’s streets are a treasure trove of fashion inspiration. And how could I resist? I came home with a delicate Parisian scarf – perfect for my tutu wardrobe!

One of my favourite spots for a dose of pink? A gorgeous boutique near the Tuileries Garden, stocked with pastel pink floral prints, dainty lace, and the cutest frilled dresses! Needless to say, I emerged with a beautiful, pink, vintage-inspired hat that looked absolutely perfect with my pink tutu. It's all about those Parisian accents!

A Magical Evening

For dinner, we dined like royalty at a charming restaurant near the Seine. We shared a plate of escargots (a little out of my comfort zone, but definitely worth trying!) followed by the most delicate crêpes with fruit. Afterwards, we strolled along the Seine, soaking in the city lights and the magical atmosphere. It was the perfect end to a fabulous day!

This Weekend in Paris

If you're in Paris this weekend, you are in for a treat. I spotted a show playing at the Theatre de la Ville called “Paris: A Ballet of Light.” Apparently, it’s a vibrant and captivating ballet, all about the City of Lights, using music, dance, and light projections. Sounds magical! Of course, I'll be going and will report back to you next week on the show, and share my tips on where to enjoy the best view of the Eiffel Tower!

This weekend is also the 25th anniversary of the Grand Palais – it's quite the spectacle with street theatre performances, light shows and fireworks. I can't wait to join the celebration!

Pink Tutu Paris Dream

There's just something about Paris that sparks joy! The elegant cafes, the historical monuments, and of course, the exquisite fashion, have left me completely enchanted. But more than anything, it’s the atmosphere – a city filled with passion, romance, and a certain je ne sais quoi. Paris has inspired me more than ever to encourage everyone to wear a pink tutu!

So, if you’re ever feeling a little blue (no pun intended!), take a trip to Paris, get yourself a delicious croissant and wear a pink tutu! It's the best way to experience all the magic and whimsy this incredible city has to offer.

Stay tuned for more Pink Tutu Paris adventures next week, including a detailed guide to finding the best vintage Parisian clothing shops. Until then, happy dancing and stay pink!

XOXO

Emma
