Hello lovelies! It's your girl Emma, back from a whirlwind Eurostar trip to the most magical city on Earth: Paris! It's Saturday, 17th April, 2027, and the Parisian sun is shining, just like my mood!
As you know, I'm absolutely mad about ballet - not just watching it, but performing it too! You might have caught me on stage in Derby this week with the County Dance Company - it was swooning! Of course, you can find me wearing my pink tutu wherever I go, but the beautiful French capital truly calls for an extra touch of Parisian flair. So, for this trip, I've opted for a fluffy tulle number in the palest shade of rose pink, adorned with a cascade of hand-sewn pearl-encrusted blooms - it's positively trés chic!
Speaking of chic, can we talk about the Eurostar? Now, I've always loved train travel - it's the ultimate glamorous, environmentally conscious way to travel, with plenty of space to admire the countryside scenery (and, let's be honest, show off my fabulous tutu!). This trip, however, felt especially magical, whizzing through the tunnels under the Channel like a little pink ballerina dream.
Once in Paris, it's practically impossible to walk a block without stumbling upon a hidden gem. I started my trip with a wander through the beautiful Marais district. Its cobblestone streets are positively dripping with history, filled with cute shops, gorgeous architecture, and the most exquisite boulangeries - my inner child was absolutely squealing!
But, I wouldn't be a true #PinkTutuBloggerParis if I didn't delve into the heart of ballet culture. This week's performance was the Paris Opera Ballet, and oh, my goodness, let me tell you - it was a night to remember. The exquisite costumes, the breathtaking choreography, the sheer raw emotion... chefs kiss. After the curtain call, I met up with some of my Parisian ballerina friends for some post-performance wine and conversation - the ultimate blend of art, culture, and indulgence!
And, of course, no trip to Paris would be complete without some serious shopping! The designer boutiques on the Champs-Élysées practically begged me to enter. This week, my obsession is the tutti-frutti colours and dreamy floral prints. My haul? A pair of the most gorgeous rose pink heels, a new silky floral print blouse, and a divinely scented lavender hand cream (it's all in the details!).
Tonight, my plan is to take in some stunning street performances. There's a lively cabaret act on Rue de la Huchette that has a certain Parisian "je ne sais quoi", followed by some mesmerising fire dancers at Place des Vosges - pure magic!
Of course, I'll keep you updated with all my Parisian adventures next week - with even more pink tulle and beautiful memories!
Stay chic and don't forget, you too can wear your pink tutu - I promise it will transform you into a Paris-worthy beauty. ? ?
Emma xoxo
