Bonjour mes amies!
It's Saturday, which means a new Pink Tutu Paris blog post for you! This week, I'm back in the city of romance, sunshine, and, of course, all things beautiful – Paris! I love coming here, the energy is just so invigorating, and it never fails to inspire me. And let's be honest, who doesn't adore Parisian chic?
This trip's been especially lovely as I was able to arrive via the Eurostar! Nothing beats whizzing through the countryside in style, feeling the anticipation of a new adventure building as I approach the Parisian border. The anticipation alone is enough to make me want to twirl in my pink tutu! Speaking of which, let's dive into this week's highlights…
From Derbyshire to the Champs-ÉlyséesThis time around, I decided to go a little more classic. My wardrobe was filled with all my favourite pinks and of course, my tutu! (Pink, of course.) For my travels, I decided on a sleek white blouse paired with a flowing pink tulle skirt. I love the way this combo looks so simple yet chic, and it's super comfortable for train travel. A touch of sparkle around the neck finished off the look - and wouldn't you know it, a fellow traveler actually stopped me to compliment the ensemble! I always say, it's a pink tutu-ful life, and sharing the joy with others makes it even better.
The Grand Palais and its Glittering TreasuresOf course, no trip to Paris would be complete without a visit to the Louvre, but this time, I was most excited about exploring the Grand Palais! It's such a stunning building, and right now it’s hosting the ‘Gabrielle Chanel: Fashion Manifesto’ exhibition! The exhibition is a celebration of Chanel’s iconic designs, and honestly, it's worth a trip to Paris just to see it. It's inspiring seeing such elegant pieces in person, reminding us of the enduring power of beauty and the way clothes can truly express oneself. The exhibition showcases everything from the iconic little black dress to Chanel's exquisite jewellery - and I loved spotting all the elegant details, the beautiful embroidery, the delicate stitching – the craftsmanship is just incredible.
Dinner at Le Jules Verne: An Enchanted EveningNo Parisian adventure is complete without a touch of magic. And so, I ventured to Le Jules Verne restaurant, a real treat that offers stunning views of the Eiffel Tower and exquisite French cuisine. I couldn't resist ordering a classic Parisian crepe with a touch of vanilla and a side of my favourite fruit, raspberries, of course!
The view from the restaurant is just breathtaking – it's like something out of a movie. It truly makes you feel like you’re in a fairytale. They even had a pink sunset lighting up the tower – my inner ballerina was beaming!
A Night at the Palais Garnier Opera HouseI am, of course, always looking for beautiful ballet shows. This time around I had the pleasure of watching a spectacular performance of Swan Lake at the breathtaking Palais Garnier Opera House.
Imagine: gilded halls, majestic chandeliers, velvet seats, and the graceful, passionate dancers pirouetting across the stage… This performance left me in complete awe! Seeing Swan Lake live at the Palais Garnier is something everyone should experience at least once in their lives. The energy and atmosphere in this theatre are truly electric!
Indulging in Parisian FashionParis wouldn't be Paris without its boutiques! Every shop seems to whisper with a refined Parisian allure. And let me tell you, it’s impossible not to shop when surrounded by such beautiful things. I picked up some exquisite pieces in shades of pink, of course! A blush pink silk scarf, a shimmering pink clutch bag perfect for a night out, and a beautiful pink feather boa for a little extra oomph to my ballet classes. I think this might just be my new go-to shopping spot, especially when I need to re-stock my wardrobe with some delightful ballet necessities.
My Parisian Wish: Sharing the Pink Tutu MagicThere’s something so enchanting about Paris that it inspires me to share my love of ballet and pink tutus with the world. And maybe, just maybe, my Parisian trip will be the spark that inspires someone, somewhere, to take a chance, to wear a pink tutu and spread a little bit of joy!
Paris is the perfect place to dream, to embrace your inner ballerina, to dress up, and to feel the thrill of an adventure. If you are looking for a city to inspire you to chase your dreams and find the magic in life, look no further!
As always, thanks for joining me on this Pink Tutu Paris adventure!
Keep your tutu’s twirling!
