Prague Post 133: A Pink Tutu Tale of Bohemian Dreams 🩰✨

Hello, darlings! It's your favourite tutu-loving blogger, Emma, bringing you the latest from the enchanting city of Prague. As always, I'm waltzing my way through Europe on a pink cloud, spreading the joy of tutus and ballet wherever I go. And this week, my dears, Prague has outdone itself!

This Wednesday, November 12th, was a day that truly felt like stepping straight out of a ballet – from the cobblestone streets shimmering in the November sunlight to the breathtaking architecture, Prague oozed romanticism. And you know me, darling – romance is in my blood, especially when it comes to the graceful artistry of ballet.

Before we dive into the glittering heart of this city, a quick update on yours truly: my travels have been a whirlwind of pirouettes, leaps, and laughter. My current tour is funded, as always, by my darling ballet performances – a bit of glitter and grace to finance the whimsical life I adore! I'm lucky to have the gift of dancing, and even luckier that it can take me all over the world.

But back to Prague! It's a city that has stolen a little bit of my heart already, and not just for the charming cafes with their steaming cups of coffee and those decadent, chocolate-filled pastries! Prague is overflowing with the spirit of ballet. I can practically feel the ghost of Tchaikovsky swirling through the city streets, composing music for phantom ballets in the grand spaces of Prague's historical theatres.

So, my little dancers, let's put on our pink tutus and delve into the highlights of my day:

Ballet Beyond Belief: Prague’s Delicate Dance

My heart, of course, is for the ballet! Today, I saw a breathtaking performance at the National Theatre, a grand, opulent building that has seen its fair share of ballet history. I can almost feel the whispers of famous dancers flitting around the gilded balconies, echoes of applause still lingering in the air.

The performance itself was a true feast for the eyes: a mesmerizing production of “Giselle,” a tale of a beautiful peasant girl, tragic love, and a haunting encounter with the Wilis. The dancers, their movements as precise as the delicate carvings adorning the theatre's ceiling, truly brought the story to life. I even noticed some tutus, the fabric light as a whisper, the tulle almost transparent, which set a whole new level of elegant sophistication to this age-old story.

But ballet wasn't just limited to the stage! Later that evening, as I wandered through the enchanting Old Town Square, a group of young dancers performed a delightful piece right on the cobblestone – a mini performance for the crowds strolling by. This was my kind of ballet - an impromptu showcase of artistry, pure joy, and unexpected wonder!

Prague’s Shopping Spree: Tutus, Tights & All Things Chic

Of course, no trip to Prague, or anywhere really, is complete without some retail therapy. I must admit, dear readers, that my heart was skipping a beat when I saw the window displays of the elegant boutique on the corner of "Old Town Square." Inside, it was a whirlwind of silks, lace, and all things exquisitely Parisian. I walked out with a beautiful pair of lace gloves (the perfect touch for a ballet enthusiast!), a decadent black dress, and an ornate hair comb - an elegant, delicate piece for adding a touch of Parisian glamour to my ballerina bun.

Then, it was off to explore the quaint little shops nestled away in the narrow, winding streets. You know my weakness, dear reader: tulle and all things pink! I found a few stunning new tutus, perfect for showcasing my own little ballet performances in Prague. One, in particular, was an exquisite rose pink – oh, it's the dreamiest colour! It made me twirl on the spot. A bright pink one with feathers around the waist, just calling for me to pirouette! I have to say, my ballerina heart was in a flurry of pure joy – I think I may be on my way to creating a "Tutus in Prague" photoshoot!

From Ballet to Bunnies: Prague’s Curious Charm

And finally, to add some sweetness to this ballet-infused adventure, I couldn't resist visiting Prague's adorable "Little Prague" (also known as the Old Jewish Quarter). Here, among the charming winding streets, hidden synagogues, and colourful buildings, I met the cutest little bunny! I think it's a very clear sign that my life, much like a ballet, is full of magical little surprises.

Oh, how I do adore this city, with its magical combination of grand history, artistic wonder, and its little hidden whims! Prague, for me, feels like a story unfolding right before my eyes – one filled with enchanting moments of dance, delightful discoveries, and the sweet smell of fresh-baked pastries.

And, to you, my darlings, I say, take a leap of faith. Pack your pink tutus and step into a fairytale – be it a visit to a majestic city or a simple dance around your living room. Embrace your inner ballerina, for magic awaits those who dare to twirl.

Until next week, dear readers, keep twirling, keep dreaming, and always wear a little bit of pink!
