Prague - Pink Tutu Paradise! 🩰✨💖

Post #242 - Wednesday 15th December, 1999

Greetings, darling tutu enthusiasts! It's your favourite pink-tutu-clad globetrotter, Emma, back from Prague! Oh, Prague, how I love thee. This charming city has truly stolen my heart, with its cobblestone streets, whimsical architecture, and most importantly, an air of magical mystery that just begs to be explored in a twirling, pink-tutu-clad whirl.

I’ve been here for the past week, exploring every nook and cranny of this enchanting city. And let me tell you, it’s been a veritable ballet of experiences! The journey here, of course, was a grand adventure in itself. After all, who travels like a regular human when you can have a pony pull your carriage through rolling green fields, a charming little country inn nestled alongside a winding stream, and a train journey where the views melt into breathtaking scenery. Every second was an opportunity to embrace the magic of travel and remind everyone around me that life’s best lived with a little pink tutu flair!

But back to Prague. It’s been a non-stop whirl of discovery! I started with a tour of the majestic Prague Castle, my tutu fluttering in the crisp air. Let me tell you, this historical haven is everything you could dream of: majestic architecture, stunning views, and a palpable sense of history whispering in the shadows. It felt as though every step I took was a pirouette in time, leaving the cobbled courtyards echoing with the soft twirls of a forgotten ballet.

Of course, no visit to Prague would be complete without a delightful dive into the world of Bohemian fashion! Imagine, if you will, an intoxicating mixture of vintage elegance and contemporary Bohemian flair, all draped in a shimmering patina of centuries-old history. The shops here are simply brimming with unique pieces and delightful little treasures. I spent hours lost in a kaleidoscope of colour and pattern, discovering beautiful hand-made jewellery and bohemian attire that could only be found in the heart of this enchanting city. And naturally, I picked up a few souvenirs to adorn my own pink tutu collection – wouldn't you know it, the Czech Republic is renowned for its stunning beaded creations, so it would have been simply criminal to leave empty handed!

But the highlight of my Prague sojourn, my dears, was without a doubt, the absolutely stunning performance by the Pink Tutu Prague Ballet last night. Oh, it was simply exquisite! They danced their hearts out, filling the theatre with swirling energy, pure grace, and raw emotion. Their rendition of The Nutcracker, was so beautiful and moving, that I found myself swept away by the story and lost in a whirlwind of swirling skirts and delicate leaps. My heart, you see, simply cannot resist a good ballet performance! It’s not just the graceful movements or the beautiful music, it's the story that truly tugs at my heartstrings, it’s a story brought to life with every leap, every twirl and every pose. It was an evening of pure bliss, a perfect harmony of movement and melody that transported me to another realm altogether.

So what's on for today?

Today is going to be filled with further cultural immersion, of course! I’ve booked tickets for a visit to the National Theatre. You can bet I'll be sure to check out the historical backdrop for this gem of a theatre - this iconic building truly embodies the spirit of Prague’s rich cultural legacy!

I also hear tell of a fascinating exhibition at the Mucha Museum, showcasing the work of this truly visionary artist. His artistic style has been a massive inspiration to my own creative journey, and I'm sure this visit will spark new ideas and visions for my upcoming collection of tutus! After all, I think we can all agree that incorporating elements of art deco elegance and artistic expression are an essential aspect of building a truly fabulous tutu wardrobe!

To top off the day, I plan to find the most exquisite little Parisian-inspired patisserie in the heart of the city, indulge in a cup of steaming hot chocolate with delicate pastries, and simply savour every second of the Prague magic. After all, what could be more magical than sitting beneath a Parisian sky, with the city lights glittering above and the most delightful pastries within reach, and your heart simply overflowing with the joy of travelling the world? It’s a truly magical experience.

As always, darling friends, don't forget to stay tuned for more sartorial and dance-inspired adventures as I continue my journey across this extraordinary world. Until next time, let your dreams twirl in a whirlwind of pink tutu magic,

Love, Emma
