Pink Tutu Prague: Post #300 - A Whirlwind of Romance, Culture, and (of Course) Pink!

Dearest tutu-loving friends,

Welcome to Prague, a city that's truly captured my heart! As I sit here, sipping a cup of strong Czech coffee, the sun streams in through the windows of my charming hotel room, casting a warm glow on the little pink tutu I keep tucked on the back of a chair. It feels like an old friend, always ready for a twirl!

This week, Prague's beauty is reflected in everything – the cobblestone streets, the grand architecture, even the charming little coffee shop where I bought these delightful almond pastries (utterly delightful with my coffee, I highly recommend!) It's almost like stepping into a fairytale, which feels very appropriate as I prepare to share all the exciting things I've been up to in my first week here.

A Train Ride to Remember

My journey began in Derbyshire, where I bid farewell to the rolling hills and quaint countryside, boarding the Eurostar with my faithful travel companion, my trusty pink carry-on bag, bursting with all my favourite outfits for the week. The journey itself was a ballet in motion, as I watched the green English fields slowly transform into the rugged landscapes of Germany, before finally arriving in this stunning, vibrant city.

Horses and a Castle… In Pink, Of Course!

Prague immediately felt enchanting. Once I settled into my charming hotel (with an incredible view, naturally!), I went for a walk to explore the Old Town Square. It was just as magical as I imagined – filled with charming shops, colourful buildings, and the stunning astronomical clock, which chimed its iconic melody right in front of my very own pink-clad eyes!

It wouldn't be a proper Prague adventure without experiencing the beauty of Prague Castle. After taking in the majestic sights and breathtaking views, I found the perfect photo opportunity – a gorgeous white pony with a bright pink ribbon tied around its neck. I simply couldn't resist striking a pose! My pink tulle tutu and the pastel pink ribbon looked simply divine against the stunning backdrop of the castle. You can imagine the sheer number of adorable photos I snapped!

Fashion and Dance: A Delectable Combination

After my magical encounter with the pink pony, it was time to indulge in some delightful fashion. The streets of Prague are a treasure trove for vintage finds, and I was absolutely smitten with the shops along the Certova Street. I snagged a delicate antique brooch and a gorgeous hand-painted porcelain box adorned with delicate flowers (a perfect keepsake from my Prague adventures!)

As always, the beauty of the city inspires my ballet moves. In the evenings, I've been attending classes at a charming ballet school tucked away in the quiet alleyways of Prague's Old Town. It's been wonderful connecting with fellow dancers and immersing myself in the graceful movements that keep my soul alive.

Ballet for the Soul

Speaking of ballet, the highlight of this week has undoubtedly been attending the performance of The Nutcracker at the iconic National Theatre. As the orchestra's sweet melodies filled the grand hall and the beautiful ballerinas took to the stage in their elegant tutus, I was transported to another world. Every intricate move, every fluid jump, was pure magic!

You might be thinking, “Emma, is the whole performance just filled with pink tutus?!” Sadly no, but it's such an integral part of my look, that's it's a constant source of inspiration in my ballet journey! But do you know what I saw? A beautiful bright red scarf woven into the costume of the Sugar Plum Fairy. The red looked divine with her flowing skirt and tutu, a contrast to the light pink tulle skirt! Perhaps I could have some pink in my look to make a splash when I perform this weekend... hmm! I'm always looking for new ideas to bring a little pink flair into my world, you know!

The Essence of Prague (With a Pink Twist!)

Prague has truly captured my heart, its rich history, stunning architecture, and vibrant energy filling me with an inspiration I haven't felt in a long time. Even in my pink tutu, I feel right at home, embracing this beautiful city and sharing the pink joy I have for life and fashion.

I’ve learned so much this week - how to make the most beautiful pastries with almonds, which local cheeses to enjoy with the local beer (I am an absolute fan, try a dark, strong one with a shot of local spirits if you’re feeling daring!). I've learned the local way to say 'hello', which was pretty easy for me, because you literally just say, "Ahoj".

And my heart? My heart feels like it's taken a graceful twirl amongst the cobblestones of Prague, a beautiful waltz filled with pink charm and enchanting dreams.

Join me next week as we continue this enchanting journey, filled with discovering hidden treasures and enjoying even more of the pink, fun and whimsical moments that make this city so special. Until then, keep your hearts open to the beauty that awaits, and remember - always, always, twirl!

P.S. Stay tuned for an exciting ballet performance I have coming up this weekend! Be sure to check the Pink-Tutu.com website next week, where I’ll be revealing details about my outfit, my dancing, and my feelings about the experience. I am very excited, I feel I'll truly be a pink sensation this week.
