Prague: Ballet Dreams and Pink Tutus - Post 403

Hello my darling darlings!

This is Emma from www.pink-tutu.com, and I'm writing to you live from the enchanting city of Prague. As you all know, Wednesdays are dedicated to sharing my fabulous travel adventures with you on my website, and this week, I'm positively buzzing with excitement to spill the tea on all things Prague!

This week I've just about squeezed a lifetime's worth of experience into five incredible days, and as you might have guessed, a lot of it has been tutus and ballet-related, because...well, that's just how I roll, darlings.

Now, you all know I live for a good journey, and my favourite way to travel is, of course, by train! You can just picture me, darling, all snuggled up in my most chic and comfy travelling ensemble, my trusty pink travel bag overflowing with tutu-tastic essentials.

Yes, dear readers, the train journey here was utterly dreamy. As I sped past quaint countryside scenery, I had so much fun playing dress-up in my latest tulle creation, the Praha Ballerina, a gloriously swirling, bright pink, floor-length tutu (and let's be honest, what else would I wear to Prague?!) I even got some envious glances from the locals! It truly was an idyllic experience, made even more magical by my delightful companion - the adorable Mr. Fitzwilliam, a stunning grey stallion with a coat like silk and eyes like shining jewels. He is quite the charmer! We had the most divine time galloping through the picturesque countryside before my train arrived in this breathtaking city.

Prague has quickly become one of my absolute favourite destinations! It's so charming and romantic, with cobblestone streets that practically whisper stories of bygone eras, and jaw-dropping architecture that will take your breath away. And the best part? It's absolutely tutu-friendly. From the minute I stepped off the train, I felt a surge of inspiration. The fairytale-like atmosphere of Prague feels as if it was created for dancing!

But let's delve deeper into my delightful adventures, shall we? I'm just going to give you a taste of what this beautiful city has in store for a tutu-wearing ballerina...

A Ballerina's Delight: Ballet in Prague

Prague boasts some truly exceptional ballet offerings! Of course, no trip to this gorgeous city is complete without a visit to the stunning National Theatre. On the 15th of January (you're reading this post live!), I had the pleasure of watching Sleeping Beauty. It was, frankly, an unforgettable experience, and I was simply captivated by the sheer beauty and elegance of the performance.

The set was opulent and dreamy, and the dancers performed with breathtaking grace and finesse. My heart just about melted as I witnessed their balletic mastery, it really was a delight for the senses!

After the performance, my good friend Mrs. Jenkins and I were fortunate enough to meet a couple of the dancers for a little tea at the charming Cafe Slavia. It was just the most delightful thing to discuss their experiences with the company and share some fashion tips.

This trip, however, was more than just about professional productions! I, of course, squeezed in some delightful time in a ballet class! This truly felt like the perfect way to absorb the city's energy. Now, I can tell you, these Czech ballerinas are some of the most dedicated and talented I've ever seen! The studios in Prague were truly buzzing with life, and everyone, from the seasoned veterans to the young beginners, just emanated this joyous energy. I couldn't resist taking a few photos, darling, I know you’ll want to see the adorable tutus and colourful tights! You'll find the pictures on my Instagram page, and feel free to use #PinkTutuPrague for any Prague adventures you share!

Shopping Spree: A Tutus and Jewels Jamboree

No ballerina trip is complete without a serious shopping spree! Now, you may know this already, but Prague is a shopper's paradise, darlings! The streets were lined with tempting boutiques brimming with the most dazzling jewels, and of course, fabulous fashion finds! Oh my goodness! My eyes nearly popped out of my head at all the exquisite designs! I had the most divine time indulging my fashionista self, searching for that perfect accessory for my tutu-fied wardrobe.

I especially loved wandering through the labyrinthine streets of Old Town and getting lost in the enchanting ambiance. Just imagine: me, floating through cobbled streets, in my beautiful ballet shoes, a blush pink Ballet Bag over my shoulder, bursting at the seams with shimmering trinkets! It really was a dream!

Now, no trip to Prague would be complete without a stop at the historic Jewelry Quarter, darling. You will find a jewel for every ballerina's wardrobe there! I just couldn't help but snap a few photos for my Instagram, so you could see what delights I found! I can’t tell you exactly where these divine shops are located (the secret is mine, I'm afraid, darling!) but rest assured they are well worth a little wander and a tiny indulgence!

The Parisian Side of Prague: Exploring Parisian-Style Cafe Culture

The thing I adore about Prague, and maybe you already know this, but Prague has this beautiful Parisian vibe! All those lovely cafe terraces filled with chattering crowds… and my favourite? Café Louvre - it has such elegant architecture and those decadent Viennese cakes just made my day. Honestly, I almost missed my ballet class! The most fabulous thing is, while you enjoy a delicious slice of torte, you can see a performance right in front of you! It truly felt like a beautiful dream.

I could go on for hours about the city, but alas, dear reader, the world calls! As I always say, "life's a ballet, and it's all about making it beautiful!" And here in Prague, there are simply so many beautiful moments to embrace. From the dazzling dance performances to the shopping escapades and Parisian charm, I felt truly alive. Prague will always have a special place in my heart, and, if you'll excuse me, I simply must get ready for my final dance performance tonight.

Remember, darlings, life is a stage, so make your performance one for the books. I'll leave you with some inspiration: dance, embrace pink tutus, be yourself and… until next Wednesday, may your life be filled with joyful twirls and beautiful ballet!

Lots of love and sparkle,

Emma www.pink-tutu.com
