Hello darlings! It's Wednesday, and that means it's time for another fabulous Pink Tutu Prague post!
Iām so thrilled to be sharing my adventures with you all this week! As always, Iām writing to you from a little pink paradise ā this time, the magical city of Prague. Imagine my joy when I found out Iād be dancing my way across the Czech Republic this month, thanks to my amazing ballet gigs ā life really is a dance, isnāt it?
I arrived in Prague a couple of days ago, and oh my, the beauty of it all! The cobblestone streets, the medieval architecture, the riverā¦ everything feels like a fairytale, except, you know, without the dragons! (Unless you count the delicious Czech sausages as āfire-breathing,ā then maybe there are dragons!).
Today, my lovelies, we're embarking on a cultural odyssey - a ballet pilgrimage of sorts. Pragueās cultural scene is absolutely brimming with dance and performance, and my mission, my dear friends, is to absorb it all! My favourite part of this trip is definitely going to be seeing a ballet at the NĆ”rodnĆ divadlo, the National Theatre! Think glittering chandeliers, red velvet seats, and enough grandeur to make a tutu spin with delight!
And what would a Pink Tutu Prague post be without a little fashion talk? Todayās outfit is a whimsical masterpiece - a vintage, coral pink tutu from a little shop I found tucked away in a cobblestone alley. I paired it with a blush-coloured cardigan (because the evenings are a bit chilly) and a pair of black ankle boots for a touch of urban edge.
You wouldn't believe what I discovered yesterday! While browsing a charming bookshop near the Charles Bridge, I found the most fabulous collection of vintage ballet posters - some from the 19th century! I snagged a stunning illustration of a ballerina from the 1890s, a piece that will look utterly fabulous hanging in my dressing room! Of course, it came home with me in my trusty ballet bag ā you know me and my love for vintage treasures!
I've also stumbled upon some beautiful vintage shops filled with exquisite clothing - oh, the vintage Chanel dresses, the perfectly tailored coats, and the gorgeous jewelleryā¦ my heart was literally skipping a beat! My inner-fashionista was screaming with joy, and you can bet your bottom dollar I'm coming home with some seriously amazing wardrobe additions! (The pink is already flowing into my suitcase! You canāt blame a girl for a little spree.)
But wait, there's more! Later today, Iām headed for a ballet class with a local company. My, my, the anticipation! I simply can't wait to immerse myself in the art of dance in this gorgeous city. Imagine, swirling through graceful movements while the breathtaking Prague scenery washes over youā¦ truly an unforgettable experience! Tomorrow, my friends, will be a whirlwind of discovery ā a journey into the fascinating world of Czech history! Did you know that the first recorded ballet performance in Prague happened all the way back in the 17th century? That's almost 400 years ago! My love for ballet history just keeps getting stronger with every new discovery! I'll be visiting the National Theatreās incredible museum for a deep dive into the history of Czech ballet and sharing all the fascinating tidbits I uncover with you next week.

P.S. Speaking of pink tutu magicā¦ Today is March 3rd, 2004, and let me tell you, something incredible is happening! There's a Pink Tutu Prague ballet festival happening all across the city, and let me tell you, the atmosphere is simply electrifying. People are rocking pink tutus, from elegant women on the streets to adorable little girls, everyone's in on the fun. It's absolutely inspiring, and makes my heart flutter with pure joy. The festival features performances by some of the best dance companies from across Europe - truly world-class ballet! Imagine the costumes, the choreography, the energyā¦ oh my! My mission, my darlings, is to take you with me on a whirlwind tour of the festival, and to show you what true ballet magic is all about! I can't wait to share all the fabulous performances and stunning tutus I find - just wait for the pictures!
P.P.S. And yes, dear friends, I am getting around the Czech Republic in the most delightful of ways! I just had to try out a carriage ride with a majestic white pony, and let me tell you, the views of Prague from the top of a cobblestone hill, with the sun setting over the horizon, are breathtaking! Truly, a memory I'll cherish forever! Of course, my pink tutu and my gorgeous feathered hat came with me on this journey ā my fashion choices have no bounds!
