Pink Tutu Prague: A Whirlwind of Pink and Ballet! (Post 707)

Bonjour, mes amies!

This week's adventures find me in the enchanting city of Prague, and as always, the first thing I thought when I arrived was, "Where are the tutus?" Because, my loves, you know my motto: life is just a little bit more magical with a pink tutu twirling around!

Travelling in Style

I'm getting more and more into train travel. I find it so romantic - the clickety-clack of the wheels on the track, the landscapes flying by, the anticipation of reaching my destination. This time, I even opted for a sleeper carriage for a bit of a more decadent touch! I dreamt of ballerinas and pink tutus, naturally, and woke up feeling as fresh as a daisy. Speaking of daisy, did I mention that I found the cutest little pony ride on the outskirts of Prague? The farmer who owns him said he only does rides for pretty ballerinas, which naturally tickled my fancy!

The City of a Hundred Spires

Prague, my darlings, is absolutely breathtaking! Imagine a fairytale come to life, a charming old city with cobblestone streets and picturesque buildings. The city's architecture is something truly special, all grand and elegant with spires reaching for the sky, perfect for twirling in my newest pink tulle skirt.

Speaking of twirling, let me tell you about the amazing ballet performance I saw! It was "Giselle," a classic and moving tale of love, betrayal, and ultimately, forgiveness. The ballet company here, the National Theatre Ballet, was truly phenomenal, their moves graceful and elegant, like swans gliding through the air.

A Touch of Vintage

Of course, no trip to Prague would be complete without a trip to the vintage shops. There is something absolutely magical about searching for treasures from the past. Imagine my delight when I found a beautiful vintage tutu from the 1950s. It was made of layers and layers of pink tulle and looked like it had been made just for me. It might just be my favourite tutu ever.

A Night of Pink

After a wonderful day of exploring and indulging in the most divine cake (yes, they make them with roses and rose water, my darlings), I put on my newly-found vintage pink tutu for a night at the ballet. The theatre was simply stunning, adorned with chandeliers that sparkled and shone like a million stars. The play itself, a rendition of "Swan Lake," was a captivating whirlwind of beautiful music, incredible dance, and of course, a whole lot of tulle.

A Pink-Tastic Tip!

If you ever visit Prague, make sure you grab yourself some of the traditional Czech gingerbread cookies. They are incredibly tasty and come in all shapes and sizes. And of course, the icing can be, you guessed it - pink!

Pink-ing Up the World, One Tutu at a Time

The inspiration I feel here in Prague is incredible, and I've been collecting images of some absolutely breathtaking traditional Czech costumes, perfect for future tutu interpretations! I have plans to collaborate with a local designer to create a truly unique tutu inspired by these incredible textiles and embroideries. Just imagine the possibilities! It would be just the thing for my next performance!

So, darlings, until next week, keep those tutus twirling and the world a bit more pink. I am always brimming with ideas and stories, so keep checking in at www.pink-tutu.com every Wednesday for the latest in all things pink!

**With love and twirls,
