Hello my lovelies! It's Emma here, and I'm positively thrilled to be writing to you from the heart of Prague, the City of a Hundred Spires! This city is simply breathtaking - imagine fairytale cobblestone streets, ornate gothic architecture, and charming bridges crossing over the Vltava River, all adorned in shades of blush pink and dreamy lavender. It's like a scene straight out of a romantic novel!
Journey of the Pink Tutu to Prague:
I arrived here earlier this week, having travelled by a gloriously comfy train all the way from Vienna. I couldn't resist a bit of fancy-dress on board, of course! I chose a dusky pink tulle tutu, adorned with a silver ribbon that shimmered under the train carriage light, paired with a black velvet bodice and my trusty pink ballet flats. It made for quite a stylish travelling outfit!
Once I arrived at the beautiful Prague Hauptbahnhof (train station) – oh, the elegant chandeliers and soaring arches! – I was welcomed by the friendliest locals, who all seem to radiate an infectious cheerfulness.
Fashion in Prague:
Now, as you know, I'm an absolute queen of shopping, and Prague hasn't disappointed in the slightest! The streets are brimming with exquisite shops – from chic boutiques boasting stunning handcrafted jewellery and leather goods to charming vintage emporiums bursting with antique treasures. I've already treated myself to a vintage silver brooch shaped like a graceful swan, and let me tell you, it's absolutely perfect with my favourite cerise pink dress.
Speaking of my outfits, I've been sporting a fantastic pink tutu ensemble around the city – a flowing pastel pink tutu layered over a floral embroidered top and blush-toned ankle boots. It's perfect for exploring Prague's enchanting lanes and charming squares. The locals seem to absolutely adore it, giving me admiring glances and delightful compliments! I may have inspired one or two to embrace the pink tutu themselves – how lovely is that?!
Ballet in the City of Music:
Now, of course, my trip wouldn't be complete without experiencing the incredible ballet scene in Prague. Tonight, I'm off to see "The Nutcracker" at the stunning National Theatre. I've heard wonderful things about this performance - it’s known for its beautiful choreography and magical storytelling, all set against a backdrop of Prague's unique historic architecture. And, what better way to celebrate my love for both dance and this delightful city?!
Prague’s Fascinating Dance History:
Did you know, my dears, that Prague boasts a rich and vibrant history of ballet? The Czech Republic has been a home to some truly remarkable ballet companies, and its influence on dance is undeniable. From the majestic ballerinas of the Royal Court in the 18th century to the dazzling contemporary choreographers of today, this city pulsates with dance and grace. I'm already eager to delve deeper into Prague's ballet heritage! I hear there's an enchanting ballet museum hidden away in one of the city's enchanting corners... I'm going to explore that tomorrow!
Sharing the Love:
I simply must share my pink tutu magic with everyone! To that end, I'm organising a little tutu flash mob right in Wenceslas Square! Can you imagine the sheer joy of seeing a dozen pink tutus pirouette amidst the hustle and bustle of this historic city? It's going to be a spectacular sight! A City of Magical Enchantment:
Every corner of Prague feels magical – from the ancient Prague Castle to the intricate clockwork figures on the Old Town Square's astronomical clock.
