Oh my dears, what a week! This past Wednesday saw me bundled into a train carriage, headed straight for the heart of Europe. Prague, the city of bridges, castles, and cobbled streetsā¦ all bathed in a rosy hue that sets my pink-loving soul alight!
Yes, my lovelies, Prague is my new adventure, and what a joy itās proving to be already. Just being here, breathing in the atmosphere, walking amongst its magical architecture, feels like stepping into a storybook. Iām even more excited than usual, because my itinerary is jam-packed with ballet performances, delightful shopping, and delicious local delicacies - all while embracing the enchanting spirit of this city!
Pragueā¦Where Fashion Meets Fairytales
My darling friends, you know how much I adore my pink tutus! And Prague is a dream for any tutu enthusiast, from the exquisite craftsmanship of the boutiques to the magical history surrounding the city.
I spent the morning exploring the Old Town Square, mesmerized by the intricate detail of the astronomical clock, a symphony of moving figures and colours. You wouldnāt believe the fantastic tutu-worthy costume the clockās skeleton figure is wearing! Itās like a modern day version of the tutuās history ā centuries ago, tutus, especially the ones made of fine fabrics, were symbols of power and wealth. The very shape and silhouette of a tutu represented a regal and elegant presence, just like this whimsical timepiece in Prague!
Shopping and Seeking Inspiration
I simply couldnāt resist the lure of Pragueās designer boutiques and charming little shops. My afternoon was a ballet-inspired dream! I snagged the most stunning pink floral embroidered dress, just the right amount of whimsy and elegance for Prague's sophisticated style. I even managed to find a lovely, soft blush pink scarf that practically screams for me to twirl in! Who knew such magical delights awaited me in this magnificent city?
Tonight's Ballet Treat
Later this evening, Iāll be at the magnificent National Theatre for a ballet performance, something Iāve been looking forward to since I arrived! Tonight, weāre diving deep into the classical realm with āGiselleā, a story of love, betrayal, and redemption that resonates deeply within every ballet loverās heart. My anticipation is peaking, as I just know this performance will be nothing short of spectacular, especially here in Prague, where the artistic legacy shines through with such intensity.
You know, the history of ballet and the history of the tutu have been so intrinsically linked. Just like āGiselleā, with its beautiful melodies and the iconic white tutu, every tutu and every ballet performance tell a story, transporting audiences to a world of magic and wonder. I can't wait to experience this magic for myself!

Every tutu tells a story, a story about its creator, its owner, and the journeys it has taken, just as much as a ballet does.
