It’s no secret I have a thing for travelling by train – the rhythmic clatter, the picturesque landscapes whizzing by, and the camaraderie amongst fellow travellers all contribute to a wonderfully whimsical experience. I opted for a first-class carriage, of course, where I could spread out my lovely pink tutu, which was nestled safely in its custom-made garment bag, and indulge in a book about the history of ballet tutus – you know how much I adore learning about the evolution of these beautiful garments!
Upon arriving in Prague, I couldn’t resist a trip to the bustling Old Town Square. It was like stepping into a storybook, with the stunning architecture, vibrant cobbled streets, and the enchanting scent of cinnamon and gingerbread.

Speaking of stories, tonight, my dears, I have the privilege of seeing a ballet performance at the magnificent National Theatre. It’s the kind of opportunity that makes a tutu-clad ballerina’s heart skip a beat! Tonight, the programme is The Nutcracker. This enchanting ballet is a perfect embodiment of my own ballet fantasies, filled with fairies, princes, and magical transformations. I am already buzzing with excitement to experience it under the magnificent chandeliers of this historical theatre.
Prague, much like London, is a city with a rich history in the world of ballet. Just imagine the graceful ballerinas of yore performing under these very same chandeliers, the audience mesmerised by their elegant movements and shimmering tutus! The mere thought of it sends shivers down my spine in the most wonderful way.
Shopping Spree: Fashion Finds in the City of a Hundred Shops
Oh, darlings! Prague is a shopper's paradise! The streets are overflowing with boutiques, charming vintage shops, and traditional craft stores. I just have to share some of my most cherished finds! I’ve found a fabulous vintage lace bolero that complements my ballet outfits perfectly – it’s the perfect accessory for a whimsical evening at the opera, and it's just the kind of find that makes my heart sing!
I’ve also discovered an adorable, whimsical dress shop with a delightful array of tutus and ballerina-inspired outfits – let’s just say that my wardrobe will be needing some serious expanding upon my return! The shopkeeper, a wonderfully kind woman who shares my passion for all things pink and pretty, assured me that they have a tutu to suit every style. I must tell you, the selection is dazzling, and I’m determined to snag at least a couple more beauties to add to my growing tutu collection.

Whether it’s the shopkeepers sharing their stories, or the friendly faces who lend a helping hand to a lost tutu-wearing traveller (which happened twice, if you must know!), I have been enveloped in a truly magical atmosphere.
