Pink Tutu Prague: A Whirlwind of Ballet, Beauty, and, of Course, Pink! (Post #1351)

Hello, my darlings! It's Wednesday, which means it's time for another adventure on Pink Tutu's blog. This week, we're jetting off to the magical city of Prague! The cobblestone streets, the breathtaking architecture, the history swirling around every corner... and of course, the ballet! Prague is a true gem for lovers of the arts, and I couldn't resist getting my pink tutu twirling in this enchanting city.

Now, as some of you know, Iโ€™m a big believer in train travel. It's far more romantic than a stuffy aeroplane, and you get to see the countryside unfold like a beautifully painted storybook. Plus, I get to indulge my love for all things pink โ€“ think a perfectly pastel pink luggage set with fluffy pink luggage tags and matching pink train ticket holder! My fellow travellers couldn't help but notice my perfectly pink outfit (you know, the classic tutu, of course, but with a sweet cherry-blossom pink ribbon around the waist!) - everyone was charmed.

Prague itself was a vision! Imagine a city bursting with vibrant colours, the aroma of delicious street food wafting through the air, and the echoes of history whispering from the ancient buildings. The architecture, a captivating blend of gothic and baroque, had me completely smitten. Every street corner felt like a painting, and the stunning Charles Bridge โ€“ studded with baroque statues and lined with charming shops selling everything from Czech glass to colourful, Bohemian souvenirs โ€“ took my breath away.

But as you know, my real mission here was ballet! Prague has a rich ballet history, boasting some of the most beautiful theatres in Europe. This time, my journey took me to the National Theatre. It's an iconic venue, nestled on the banks of the Vltava River, and it certainly didn't disappoint. As I stepped inside, my eyes widened with wonder at the grandeur of the ornate foyer and the plush red velvet seating. And the performance itself was captivating! The ballet, La Sylphide, showcased some exquisite dancing, the story transported me to a fantastical world of enchanted forests and delicate fairies, and the costumes were pure magic.

Speaking of costumes, my darling readers, did you see my pink outfit for the night? It's a brand new tulle masterpiece, with an ethereal blush pink that perfectly complemented the city lights. Imagine delicate layers of tulle, swirling around me as I walked, and a matching feather boa, adding a touch of glamorous extravagance. Let me tell you, every step I took on those historic streets felt like I was gliding on air.

Of course, my trip wasn't all about ballet and theatre. A little shopping spree is a must for a girl with my penchant for fashion! I was thrilled to discover a darling little boutique tucked away on a side street. I call it "Pink Paradise". It had everything a tutu-loving girl could dream of: vintage ribbons in every colour, beautiful velvet headbands with delicate pearl embellishments, and a whole collection of feather boas in all sorts of shades. My wardrobe is feeling decidedly pinker as we speak.

To further my passion for the ballet world, I found myself browsing the antique bookshops, desperately hoping to find a vintage ballet poster or perhaps a first edition of Swan Lake. Alas, no luck on that front this time. However, I did unearth a charming little shop tucked away in a cobbled back street called "The Tutu Emporium" which boasted a range of hand-crafted tutus made from the most exquisite fabrics, just the kind of vintage tutu that will look beautiful in my ever growing collection. I bought a classic black tulle tutu which Iโ€™ll pair with a beautiful blush pink shirt and, you guessed it, a feather boa. It is a must for my next dance class!

Prague is truly a city for everyone, even your very own pink-loving, tutu-wearing ballerina. The friendly locals, the delicious food, and the captivating atmosphere made me want to stay forever!

Now, to those who are ready to spread the pink tutu magic, don't forget to share this post with your friends, family, and everyone who knows you're the biggest fan of all things pink! It's time to turn the world pink one tutu at a time!

Until next Wednesday, stay pink, my darlings, and donโ€™t forget to twirl!

XOXO, Emma
