Prague: A Tutu-tastic Time!

Hello my darling darlings! Emma here, ready to whisk you away to the magical city of Prague! This week, for post number 1371 on pink-tutu.com, I'm taking you on a whirlwind tour of cobblestone streets, sparkling chandeliers, and breathtaking ballet. It's all part of my ongoing quest to spread the pink tutu gospel!

Prague was a dream come true! It's one of those cities that instantly wraps its charm around you, a combination of historic beauty and vibrant energy that makes you want to spin right into the heart of it all!

A Pink Tutu Paradise

I was beyond excited to arrive in this fairytale-like city. The old architecture is stunning, with spires reaching for the heavens and painted pastel buildings that reminded me of a doll's house. The moment I stepped off the train (did you know I adore train travel?! The clinking of the wheels and the rhythmic chugging of the engine... it's so poetic!) I knew Prague would be my pink tutu haven.

Tutu Shopping Spree!

My first stop had to be a proper sartorial pilgrimage: a luxurious boutique hidden away in the heart of Prague. This haven of silk and sequins is overflowing with tutus, just begging to be twirled in! My first find was a masterpiece - a light-as-air pink tutu adorned with delicate lace. I twirled for hours in front of the mirror, my own personal stage with the shop's dimmed lights setting the perfect mood! And let's be honest, you can't be in Prague without the perfect vintage finds. I discovered a hidden gem in a charming antique shop on a cobblestone alleyway. It housed a dusty, moth-eaten, but oh-so-chic tutu, whispering tales of bygone ballerinas. Now, this is the sort of tutu you treasure, imagine it with a sleek vintage blazer for a bit of avant-garde edge! I'm talking Parisian chic mixed with ballet elegance. Who needs those boring jeans when you've got a vintage tutu, eh?

National Theatre: A Ballet Dream Come True

No trip to Prague would be complete without a night at the National Theatre! I snagged a fantastic seat right in front, a real ballerina's perspective of the stage! The whole building felt alive with history - a truly grand venue where I could see myself gracing the stage in my pink tutu. My ballet-loving heart couldn't have asked for anything more! I can't even tell you how utterly divine the performance was, a captivating mix of grace, strength, and artistry. I must confess, it set my inner ballerina aflutter! And as the applause filled the air, I had to restrain myself from running on stage, throwing off my scarf (very Derbyshire) and twirling my way into the hearts of the audience! (maybe for the next visit!)

Breakfast with a Viennese Twist

As much as I adore a good ballet performance, you'll always find me on a hunt for some of life's greatest luxuries - pastries, cakes, and delicious food in general. And in Prague, you simply can't miss out on the delectable viennoiseries. Now, I know this might sound extravagant, but hear me out. Breakfast at a beautiful Viennese-inspired café is practically a rite of passage for any ballerina-at-heart! Imagine, the morning sun streaming through the window, a dainty china cup filled with velvety coffee, and a perfect croissant, flaky and buttery... bliss! It was an experience so delicious, I think it would even tempt the notoriously-picky ballet instructor I once had (the one who would only eat a single walnut every day!) The café was so charming, I couldn't resist taking a few pictures for my instagram. The pastel walls, dainty floral patterns and my little pink tutu... absolute perfection!

Dancing with the Cobblestones

One of the things that truly drew me to Prague was the enchanting story of its dancing cobblestones. Legends whispered about magical cobblestones, mysteriously appearing and disappearing in a particular square! The thought of stepping on something that whispered of folklore, of centuries of forgotten memories, sent chills down my spine. I went on a mission to seek these elusive cobblestones and spent hours in the old city squares, mesmerised by the worn grooves under my tutu-clad feet. I may not have discovered any magic, but I did discover a hidden square brimming with musicians, buskers and artists, where I couldn't resist pulling out some dance moves!

Pony Rides in Prague

Did you know you can take a pony ride in Prague?! Yes, you heard me right! I adore ponies. They're so graceful, they seem to float on air with their delicate hooves and that playful, energetic energy! It just wouldn't be a proper Prague adventure without some galloping through the historic streets. Of course, I found a beautiful, fluffy pink pony adorned with ribbons (just how a ballerina would like it, naturally). And oh my goodness, was it the perfect adventure. Imagine it, trotting along a cobbled street with Prague's grand castle rising majestically in the background... Pure magic! And, well, wouldn't you know it, it ended with a breathtaking view of the Charles Bridge. That little pink pony brought me straight into a dream sequence!

The Tutu Diaries

To say that Prague was a total delight is an understatement. I captured it all, every moment in my beloved diary! The swirling, magical details, the fashion finds (of course, with a few selfies in my pink tutu!), the delicious food, and even the memory of those mischievous dancing cobblestones.

So, my darlings, I hope this little snippet of my Prague journey has inspired you. Embrace the extraordinary, chase those magical moments, and remember, a pink tutu can make any adventure more magical. I'll be back next week, my darlings, with a brand new story, new ballet discoveries, and of course, another stunning pink tutu look for you to admire. Stay pink!

Love, Emma
