Riding into Prague with a Pony... and a Tutu! 🦄
This time, I decided to make a dramatic entrance. Gone were the usual train journeys (though let’s be honest, there’s always room for a little train travel in my life!). This week, I embraced a more fairytale vibe and arrived in Prague by pony – yes, a pony! 💖 Okay, I'll admit it was more of a very stylish horse-drawn carriage. It took me through Prague’s magical Old Town Square, past the Astronomical Clock with its mesmerizing puppets. Let me tell you, it's the most amazing way to arrive in a new city!
Prague, a Ballet Lover's Dream!
Prague instantly stole my heart with its stunning architecture and a captivating mix of historical grandeur and bohemian vibes. It’s a city that feels like it’s straight out of a ballet. Every cobbled street, every majestic church, every quaint cafe – they all inspire an effortless grace.
And let's not forget about the National Theatre, the heart of Czech performing arts! This is no ordinary theatre; it’s a magnificent monument to art, built with intricate detail, and brimming with history. The very air feels alive with the magic of stage and dance!
A Tutu Tour Through the Ages!
I’ve spent this week exploring Prague like a ballerina exploring a new stage. I've danced through the vibrant Old Town Square under the watchful eyes of the Astronomical Clock, swirling like a graceful ballerina beneath its twinkling figures.
I’ve even popped into a few hidden ballet schools, taking a cheeky peek into the world of Czech ballet. I mean, who can resist a tutu-filled classroom? You could say I felt a bit like I’d gone back in time, to the glorious days of early ballet, when graceful costumes reigned supreme!
Fashion Inspiration in Every Corner!
But my exploration went beyond ballet. Prague is a fashionista's dream! From the vibrant shops in the Old Town to the designer boutiques in the chic New Town, every corner is a fashion masterpiece waiting to be admired! I'm finding all sorts of fabulous outfits to inspire my upcoming tutu creations.
This trip was especially fruitful for discovering new ways to incorporate Czech design into my ballet style. I’m obsessed with the way local artisans blend delicate lace with the rich colours of traditional costumes. It's pure magic!
Prague: A Symphony of Sights and Sounds!
Evenings are an enchantment. The city transforms into a symphony of sound and light. Street musicians fill the air with melodious tunes, while the glow of gaslight lanterns casts romantic shadows upon the ancient streets. I caught a fantastic performance at the **National Theatre, where the passionate actors transported me into another world with their captivating story telling!
Tutu Tales for Tomorrow
The most amazing thing about Prague is the way it blends the elegance of history with the vivacity of the modern day. I am going to try and infuse this energy into my future creations. Prague has definitely inspired me!
I’m back to my cosy Derbyshire home now, but my memories of Prague, its stunning beauty and its balletic heart are already fueling my passion for everything tutu!
