Hello darlings! Emma here, your pink tutu-wearing travel companion, and today I’m living the dream in Prague. It's a Wednesday, and that means a brand-new blog post for you! We're on the eve of another amazing performance, a truly magnificent experience which will fuel me right through to next week's post. But let's rewind a little and catch up on this incredible journey.
Train Journeys and Pink Ponies
Arriving in Prague by train was like stepping into a fairytale. Picture this: the sunrise over the rolling countryside, the scent of fresh coffee brewing in the train carriage (I packed a delightful pink thermos!), and me, naturally, looking utterly divine in a hot pink tutu. This journey was extra special, because instead of the usual train, we travelled with a cheeky little pink pony called Pearl! It wasn't your average carriage - she pulled a beautiful, handcrafted cart all the way from Derbyshire, complete with fluffy pink cushions and a sparkling silver lamp! It's always an adventure when you're with Pearl - she has a knack for adding a dash of the unexpected, which I absolutely love.
The Magic of Prague: A City of Spires and Charm
Prague has immediately captivated my heart! The architecture is stunning - every corner unveils a masterpiece of Gothic spires and intricate detail. The cobbled streets lead you past charming boutiques and quaint cafes, where I can’t resist indulging in a delicious hot chocolate and a slice of Viennese apple strudel (a delightful post-performance treat, I must say!).
Speaking of performances, darling! Last night I had the most fabulous evening. I donned a delicate pink tulle tutu with a flowing, rose-gold scarf, perfect for twirling amongst the cobbled streets, and we explored the Old Town Square. There, right under the awe-inspiring Astronomical Clock, a group of local musicians treated us to a mesmerizing display of Bohemian folk music, while the light of the setting sun painted the rooftops a beautiful golden hue. A perfect scene to ignite my imagination and remind me of the magical stories of ballerinas, dancers, and mythical creatures!
Ballet Bonanza: Tonight's Spectacular
Today is the day we’ve been waiting for - the grand ballet show I’m performing in, “The Sleeping Beauty,” at the National Theatre. I've chosen a dramatic, layered tutu, complete with delicate pink feathers. I wanted to add a touch of magic, you know, as if I’m a princess dancing in a dreamscape! The stage is breathtaking, so beautifully adorned, and I just know that tonight’s performance will be simply exquisite.
Fashion Favourites and Pink Parlour Indulgences
This afternoon, however, before my performance, there is another must-do in Prague: shopping! Of course, darling! I wouldn’t dream of skipping it. This city is a haven for unique finds, so I’ll be combing through vintage shops for an authentic Bohemian accessory, perhaps a delicate beaded necklace to accentuate my elegant pink tutu tonight, or maybe a bold floral brooch to match the colours of the floral arrangement that adorns the grand stage of the National Theatre!
Afterwards, I will treat myself to a delightful hour in a vintage-themed Pink Parlour I discovered earlier. It’s full of whimsical chandeliers and elegant pink armchairs. A truly inspiring atmosphere.
