Pink Tutu Prague: A Ballet Dream Come True! (Post #1630)

Wednesday, 2nd September 2026

Darling readers,

Hello from the utterly enchanting city of Prague! I’m absolutely giddy with excitement, because this week, I’ve finally realised one of my life’s dreams: I’ve seen a ballet performance in the magnificent setting of the Estates Theatre, the very same stage that Mozart conducted back in the 18th century! The theatre itself is a breathtaking vision, with a stunning gilded interior, plush velvet seating, and a majestic stage, truly a feast for the eyes! I, of course, sported a blush pink tulle tutu, making me feel like a true ballerina princess amidst this glittering theatre setting.

But let’s rewind a little! It was quite a journey to get here, wouldn’t you say? As a Derbyshire lass at heart, you won’t be surprised to hear I opted for the romantic and rather scenic route. A whistle stop in the English countryside, watching lambs frolic in the sunshine, followed by a gloriously sun-drenched train journey from London to Paris, complete with delectable pastries and a spot of window shopping, brought me right into the heart of France. From there, a charming carriage ride, my darling, led me straight into Prague. I may not have been accompanied by my favourite little chestnut mare, Blossom, on this journey, but there were glimpses of emerald meadows and rustic farmhouses that certainly had me daydreaming of our countryside adventures together.

The Majestic Estates Theatre:

Speaking of majestic, I simply can’t say enough about the Estates Theatre. To think Mozart himself walked these halls! You can almost imagine him humming his famous tunes whilst pacing backstage. The theatre's rich history dates back to 1783, and its charm and magnificence truly took my breath away. And just like any self-respecting ballet enthusiast, I had to snap some selfies outside and even, dare I say, a few Instagrammable photos inside – forgive me if you find it gauche, but it's the de rigueur thing to do nowadays! ?

A Night of Magical Performances:

Tonight was truly a night for the ages, my lovelies! The programme boasted a breathtaking mix of ballet classics, contemporary pieces, and even a delightful selection of ballroom dances that would have even made our good Queen Victoria swoon. Each performance was simply superb, a feast for the senses, but let's just say that the rendition of Swan Lake was so beautiful it nearly brought tears to my eyes. Such graceful, ethereal movements! My heart fluttered at every twirl and leap, and I just had to get out my tiny notepad and scribble down my favourite choreography moments - a habit I haven't shed since ballet school! ?

Prague, a Fashionista's Paradise:

Okay, you know me too well, darlings, I can’t resist indulging in a bit of retail therapy, especially when I'm on a trip like this. Prague is a veritable fashion paradise, filled with boutique shops and quirky vintage stores bursting with style! I simply couldn't resist buying a bejewelled headband with delicate pink feathers and a blush-pink shawl – all perfectly in tune with my pink tutu, of course! After all, a true ballerina must always ensure she looks impeccable on stage or off. ?

A Celebration of Pink Tutuland:

For every single ballet fan, this trip is a must-do! The atmosphere in Prague, buzzing with culture and artistic expression, feels simply magical, just like wearing your favourite pink tutu. Speaking of which, the best part of Prague has to be the absolutely fabulous ‘Pink Tutu Promenade’ that I found this morning! You wouldn’t believe it – this is a whole shopping street dedicated to anything and everything pink tutu related. And, it’s a dream for any ballerinas on the hunt for the perfect tulle creation!

I snagged myself the most gorgeous tutu in an intricate shade of millennial pink, featuring delicate embroidered roses and little satin ribbons that dance playfully with every step. Now, wouldn’t this make the perfect outfit for a special ballet-themed afternoon tea? A most elegant affair, don't you think?

More Prague Adventures To Come:

This blog post, my lovelies, is only a taste of the adventures that await me in Prague. I can't wait to explore its winding streets, discover its hidden treasures, and sample all those delicious Czech pastries. Who knows, perhaps a glimpse of a new, captivating ballerina shoe shop is waiting just around the corner? Or maybe even, I dare to dream, a new, glorious, majestic pink tutu dress. One can only hope, right?

But one thing's for certain – it’s a journey I'll never forget, a symphony of artistic expression, a tribute to the magic of dance, and, of course, an ode to the beautiful and powerful pink tutu!

Until next Wednesday, keep those tutus twirling, darlings!

With love,

Emma xoxo
