Pink Tutu Prague: A Ballet Lover's Paradise! (Blog Post #1773)

Hello darlings! It's your favourite pink tutu-clad travel blogger, Emma, and this week I'm waltzing my way into your hearts (and inboxes) from the enchanting city of Prague! The cobbled streets, the stunning architecture, and the buzz of cultural life – it's like stepping into a fairytale!

This week's blog post is all about my whirlwind trip to Prague, and how this gorgeous city is a true ballet haven. I'm not just talking about the exquisite shows they put on here – it's the atmosphere, the attitude – they truly embrace the art of dance.

A Tutu-ful Journey: Getting to Prague

I'm a bit of a train enthusiast, and what better way to travel to Prague than by a splendid, sleek Eurostar train? The journey itself was an adventure - the landscapes whizzing by, the chatty travellers sharing travel tips, and the ever-present feeling of excitement for what awaited me.

And, of course, what's a trip without some fashionable flair? I couldn't resist the allure of a Parisian street market and snagged a stunning, floral pink tutu that perfectly complements Prague's colourful charm!

Arriving in Prague: A Whirlwind of Colour

Prague is an absolute explosion of colours and textures. The old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, feels like stepping into a history book. From the towering spires of the Prague Castle to the intricate astronomical clock, the city is just breathtaking. But you know what truly charmed me? The sheer amount of pink! Prague loves its pink just as much as I do, and the buildings, the flowers, the shops - it all just oozes that girly, charming pink energy that I adore.

A Ballet Paradise

Now, for the true highlight of the trip - Prague's love affair with ballet! I've been dancing since I was a little girl in my Derbyshire village hall, and visiting a city that genuinely embraces this artform is truly inspiring.

My first ballet adventure in Prague was at the Národní divadlo. It's the oldest opera house in the country and oh my, was it a spectacle! This week's performance was "Giselle", a classic romantic ballet. The dancing was exquisite - I was absolutely spellbound. You could practically feel the emotion pouring from the dancers, their costumes a spectacle of flowing fabrics and sparkling embellishments.

The atmosphere in the theatre itself was electric, a delightful mix of anticipation and pure joy. I was mesmerized watching children with sparkling eyes, and adults dressed to the nines - Prague truly understands how to create a night out to remember. And of course, I wasn't the only one sporting a tutu! I saw a gaggle of young ballerinas with their mums, all in those fabulous pink tutus. My heart simply melted – seeing others share my passion is the best feeling!

From Stage to Street: Ballet Everywhere!

But it wasn't just the grand theatre productions that captivated me - I discovered Prague is practically brimming with ballet love.

I even found myself at a street ballet performance one evening, tucked away in a charming cobblestone square. A group of talented young dancers performed excerpts from classical ballet pieces, bringing the heart of ballet to life right on the streets! It was magical, a serendipitous ballet experience that showcased Prague's love for the art form at its most raw, accessible, and engaging.

And speaking of engagement, my trip wasn't complete without a ballet class myself! Prague's ballet schools are famed for their exceptional training. I joined a class at the Prague Conservatory and experienced the sheer artistry and dedication these young dancers possess. It was truly inspiring - a wonderful reminder of my own ballet journey and why I adore this art form.

Tutu-ful Shopping and Delights

A visit to Prague isn't complete without indulging in the shopping spree that is waiting for you on every corner! This is where my tutu-tastic journey truly took off! Prague's designers understand the essence of femininity and flair, offering clothing with an undeniable Parisian charm, perfectly matched with delicate lace details, vintage touches, and - my absolute favourite – an abundance of fabulous, vibrant pink colours.

I couldn't leave Prague without indulging in a new addition to my pink tutu collection, and you bet, I found my perfect fit! A vibrant magenta tutu with tulle layers as soft as silk and embellishments that would have made even the Queen herself jealous. And wouldn't you know it, the tutu is absolutely perfect for dancing through the streets of Prague. It's light, whimsical, and a reminder of the joyous spirit that pulsates through the city.

But, I wasn't just a princess in pink, I was a princess with a rumbling tummy! Prague's food scene is another delightful surprise. It's a delicious mix of Bohemian traditions and European influences. The smell of roasted meats wafting from charming street stalls and the aroma of rich desserts emanating from pastel-coloured bakeries was enough to entice any foodie, myself included.

My Pink Tutu Prague Verdict

Prague stole my heart, darlings. From the captivating architecture to the incredible ballet performances and the irresistible shops, it's truly a ballet lover's paradise. And my, oh my, that pink is just perfection! I can't wait to tell you all about it on my next trip – Prague has captured a piece of my soul and I already know I'll be back for another dose of fairytale enchantment, ballet magic, and lots, lots of pink!

As always, stay stylish and keep dancing your heart out.

See you next Wednesday for another pink-tastic blog post!

Until then,

Your favourite tutu-clad traveller,

Emma xoxo
