Ciao bella!
Well, here I am, darling, back in the wonderful city of Rome, where even the pigeons look like they've had their feathers professionally styled! And my goodness, what a fabulous week it's been! As you know, Wednesday's are all about my Roman adventures, and this week has been overflowing with so much la dolce vita that it practically fizzed with pink!
Trains, Treats & Tutu Twirls
You know I love a train journey - and this time, it was pure bliss! I snagged a window seat for the journey from Florence (a story for another Wednesday!) and oh my, the rolling Tuscan hills, bathed in that beautiful Italian sunshine! Of course, I had my trusty pink suitcase by my side, crammed full of fabulous frocks and my very own sparkly pink tutu for evening strolls.
The train ride itself felt like a fashion show! All the fabulous Italians - even the train conductor - had such great style! Seriously, imagine, a conductor looking dapper in a navy suit with a crisp white shirt, and a fabulously bright pink tie! So very Italian! I just adore the fashion here.
The journey included lots of delicious snacks. My new, must-have travel accessory: a travel mug with a built-in infuser. Honestly, pink hot chocolate on the train! Pure heaven! Plus, a handful of biscotti and dolci - which means sweet, delicious things in Italy!
Arriving in Rome was a total joy. The moment I stepped out of Termini Station, I knew this was going to be a fantastico week! And it's not even Wednesday yet!
Shopping, Sights and… Did I mention Food?
Well, first stop: Shopping, of course! You simply can't come to Rome without a trip to Via Condotti! It's one of the world's most famous shopping streets, lined with some of the biggest names in Italian fashion. It was heaven! Imagine designer shoes, dresses, jackets, even the most glamorous handbags – all pink, pink, pink! I had to be careful, darling! There’s always a danger of going a little overboard when surrounded by so much divine, luxurious, fashionable heaven!
And, a tip from Emma: always remember to keep a pair of flat ballet shoes in your bag - all that chic Italian shopping can get so tiring!
Oh, and I simply MUST mention the food! Seriously, where do I even begin?
Pasta, pizza, fresh mozzarella, a huge, generous plate of tiramisu! You could literally smell the mouth-watering aromas as you walk around. My current favourites are all the beautiful little gelato shops dotted around the city! Seriously, some flavours are simply divine: think lavender and rosemary, passionfruit with white chocolate, or even a strawberry and rose sorbet. Yes, you read that right! Rose! That's my colour!

Tonight, I'm off to a special treat: an open-air ballet performance at the Castel Sant'Angelo! Can you believe it? An actual performance of Swan Lake! In a castle! In Rome!
It’s not just the ballet, of course. A perfect way to end the day. Imagine this, darling:
A warm summer evening, sparkling, dancing lights in the Italian night sky, a magical ballet in an ancient, history-filled setting!
And *you know what I'll be wearing, don’t you? You’re absolutely right – a fabulously fluffy pink tutu! Because, why wouldn't you?

Let's just say, Rome is everything they say it is - and more.
Tomorrow, it's on to explore some more of this fascinating city! Colosseum! The Vatican! The Trevi Fountain! All the things we hear so much about - all waiting to be discovered in person!
