Pink Tutu Rome: Post 1336 - Ciao Bella!
Hello darlings! Itās Wednesday, which means it's time for a fresh post on pink-tutu.com, and this week I'm taking you all with me on a whirlwind trip to the Eternal City!
Yep, I'm in Rome! And honestly, this pink-tutu-loving ballerina just can't get enough of this place. Every corner is brimming with history, charm, and letās not forget the shopping - oh the shopping! You might wonder how I'm funding these extravagant trips, you ask? Well, it's all thanks to the magic of dance! Performing my heart out across the stage (and yes, even in my favourite pink tutu!) helps fuel my wanderlust.
I travelled here by train, a method of travel I've become rather fond of, a real delight! And while trains may not have the same āsparkle factorā as a pink tutu, the view is pretty incredible from a window seat, especially when you're whizzing through the Italian countryside. Speaking of sparkle, can we talk about the energy in this city? The vibrant markets, the beautiful people, the gorgeous food... Itās truly intoxicating, and I havenāt even mentioned the Colosseum yet!
Fashion and Frills
Let's get down to what you really came here for: the fashion! And Rome is just bursting with it, in the best way possible! Walking the cobbled streets, I feel a whole new sense of confidence in my pink tutu, a vibrant pop of colour amongst the traditional Roman stone.
On the fashion front, Rome is where I found my latest obsession: a divine, coral-pink, silk scarf with intricate embroidered details, picked up in a charming little shop near the Trevi Fountain. Honestly, you all need one, itās simply divine!
Dance Delight
And now for my true passion, my beloved ballet! Yesterday, I popped over to the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma and was treated to the most spectacular performance of "Giselle" by the Teatro dell'Opera Ballet. The choreography was mesmerising, the music sublime, and let me tell you, seeing those beautiful ballerinas in their tulle skirts - it just sparked joy!
A Day in Rome: A Pink Tutu Itinerary
Okay, so youāve come to Rome, youāve bought your coral scarf, and youāre craving a bit of ballet. Here's my personal itinerary for the perfect day in the Eternal City:
- Morning: Start your day with a leisurely breakfast at one of Rome's many cafes. They're bursting with croissants and cappuccinos, just like your girl needs for a proper ballet start to the day!
- Mid-Morning: Then, get lost in the fascinating world of Roman history at the Colosseum. Thereās so much to discover and I am really embracing all the culture I can soak up. Itās quite magical!
- Afternoon: A ballet class at one of Rome's prestigious ballet schools - imagine pirouetting under the Roman sky! Yes, I know itās rather ambitious, but you have to live life a bit! Failing that, catch a ballet performance at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma ā prepare to be utterly enchanted!
- Evening: After the ballet, indulge in a delightful dinner at one of Romeās many charming restaurants. And don't forget to try their amazing pizza!
Let's Get Tutu'ed Up!
The one thing missing? More tutus! It's a known fact that everyone can benefit from a little more tutu in their life. Whether itās pink, lavender, yellow or even green! I've noticed that the Romanās seem quite comfortable expressing themselves through their clothing, just how I love to do! I have this feeling that Romanās wouldnāt shy away from a little sparkle in their life! If only we could get them all to embrace the wonder of a pink tutuā¦ Well, it wouldnāt hurt to try!
