Hello darlings! It's Emma here, your favourite tutu-clad travel blogger, bringing you all the latest from the heart of the Roman Empire - Rome! This week, I'm trading my ballet slippers for trusty walking shoes, because the cobblestone streets of Rome are calling for exploration! And I wouldn't have it any other way. After all, when it comes to discovering new cities, there's nothing I love more than wandering through the narrow alleyways, discovering hidden gems, and of course, getting the perfect pink tutu-inspired snaps!
This week, I'm on a mission to share the love of pink with the Eternal City - imagine the majestic Colosseum adorned with pink tulle, or the Trevi Fountain glittering with a thousand pink ribbons! I'm pretty sure those statues are crying out for a splash of pink, aren't they?
Rome's just brimming with history and romance. From the iconic Pantheon to the mesmerizing Trevi Fountain, each landmark whispers secrets from another time. The vibrant streets hum with the sounds of laughter, chatter, and the sweet melody of Italian voices. I can already picture the Roman Colosseum glowing in a dusky pink light as I dance around, celebrating all things tutus and travel. It's almost time to ditch my usual "Tutu and Tea" themed posts and delve into something more grand, don't you think?
I always feel like I'm stepping into a fairytale when I'm here. There's just an incredible sense of adventure and romance hanging in the air. I swear, it's positively intoxicating! And who better to be whisked away by its magic than a ballerina in a pink tutu, eh? It just feels right, doesn't it?
I wouldn't be true to my pink tutu loving self without sharing a glimpse into my current wardrobe – oh, the colours, the fabrics! The shops here are just delightful. Imagine, silk scarves the colour of sunset skies, emerald green dresses so soft they'd melt your heart, and a treasure trove of delicate lace that's begging to be turned into a dazzling pink tutu.
Speaking of dazzling pink tutus, have you seen my latest one? This magnificent, three-tiered, hand-beaded masterpiece, perfectly capturing the essence of Roman luxury. The cascading tulle just whispers “Diva in Training” with every twirl, and trust me, the photos are already flooding my Instagram! I mean, come on, the Colosseum doesn't just demand a fabulous pink tutu – it positively requires it!
And speaking of Instagram ... Oh, darling! Rome is absolutely bursting with photo opportunities. Just the other day, I took a twirling break from a delicious pasta lunch and got myself a glorious selfie in front of the Roman Forum - the soft pink hues of the sun just played on the tutu. It's magic!
Tonight, I'm catching a spectacular opera performance at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma - just my style. Imagine, the elegant costumes, the dramatic arias, and of course, the majestic stage! The energy alone is enough to send shivers down your spine, let alone the beautiful music and the passionate voices! My tutu just wouldn't be complete without some high culture. It's the perfect way to celebrate a life devoted to both art and travel.
For my next ballet class in this incredible city, I'm hoping to find a little hidden gem nestled within one of Rome's picturesque courtyards. Can you picture it, darling? Ballet under a starlit Roman sky, with a gentle breeze rustling the leaves in the trees! Imagine the inspiration! This could be my most amazing ballet blog post ever, even better than when I danced with a dozen pink flamingos in a balmy Barbados beach.
