Hello my darling readers! It's Wednesday, which means it's time for a brand new Pink Tutu blog post! This week, I'm thrilled to be writing to you from the beautiful and historical city of Rome, Italy! Oh, the food, the fashion, the fabulousness... I could spend a lifetime here!
Travelling in Style
First, I've got to talk about how I arrived. I took the train, obviously! I am a HUGE fan of train travel, it's such a relaxing and picturesque way to see the world, and oh, so chic! And let me tell you, the journey was truly dreamy. A comfortable carriage with plush seating, scenic views whizzing by, and enough time to work on my ballet practice. (You know, just in case the opportunity arises to do a spontaneous street performance, wink).
As soon as I arrived in Rome, I found the perfect location for a photoshoot - the magnificent Termini Station! Think sprawling grand architecture, intricate tiled floors, and the most fantastic echo! My pink tutu twirled beautifully amongst the Roman columns and the echo made my every pirouette sound even more magical! Let's just say the station's commuters got quite a show!
Tutu Twirls and Roman Charm
Of course, no visit to Rome is complete without an exploration of the historic treasures hidden around every corner! From the awe-inspiring Colosseum and the ancient Roman Forum to the breathtaking Trevi Fountain, I'm absolutely captivated by this cityās charm! And I swear, every stone whispers with a thousand years of history!
I have to confess, this week's outfit choice was quite inspired by the city itself. A bright, vibrant shade of pink with delicate tulle flounces - much like the iconic floral patterns adorning many of the local shops. I've definitely found my Italian muse in this enchanting city!
A Cultural Feast
Speaking of charming shops, Rome is an absolute paradise for any fashionista like me. Iāve spent a happy afternoon (or two!) indulging in the local designer boutiques and bustling markets, picking up some beautiful Italian finds to add to my wardrobe!
Of course, every journey should have a touch of the cultural, don't you think? And Rome delivers that in spades! I was utterly charmed by the performance of āThe Roman Holiday" - a stunning ballet adaptation of the classic Audrey Hepburn film at the Teatro dellāOpera di Roma. I think the graceful moves and romantic storyline had everyone in the audience entranced - including me, of course!
And no trip to Italy is complete without experiencing the incredible culinary delights! Today, I sampled the most exquisite homemade pasta, accompanied by the freshest tomato sauce. And let's not forget the divine gelato, a truly divine end to the perfect Italian meal! Iām in foodie heaven!
Sharing the Pink Tutu Love
Remember, my lovely readers, I'm here on a mission to inspire the world to embrace the magic of tutus! And Rome has certainly proved to be the perfect setting to spread that joy! Throughout my adventures here, I've shared the pink tutu love with as many locals as possible. It's amazing how a little twirl and a splash of pink can bring a smile to anyone's face.
Oh, and speaking of bringing a smile to your face... This Saturday, I'm attending the āOpera in the Piazzaā festival! I can't wait to watch the spectacle under the Italian night sky, dressed in my favourite, of course, a gloriously sparkly pink tutu!
