Pink Tutu Rome: Ciao Bella! #1420

Buongiorno, my lovely tutufied friends! It's Wednesday, which means it's time for another dose of Pink Tutu travel shenanigans from yours truly, Emma, your very own ballerina blogger with a penchant for pink and an even greater passion for all things twirly! 🩰💕

This week, I'm taking you on a whirlwind trip through the Eternal City – Rome, Italy! As soon as I set foot on the cobbled streets, I knew I was going to be smitten. There's something so magical about the energy here. Imagine all the emperors, poets, and gladiators that have walked these very streets – just makes a girl feel pretty special! 🤩

Arriving in Style: A Pink Tutu Train Ride

The journey here was, as always, a fabulous affair. There’s no better way to travel, in my humble opinion, than by train. All those little compartments feel like my own personal dance studio! 😉 I spent the entire trip lost in a book on Roman mythology, surrounded by my trusty pink tutu, and daydreaming about all the delicious pasta and gelato that awaited me in Rome. I just know this trip is going to be perfetto! ✨

Fashion Frenzy: Shopping & Strolling

Speaking of perfetto, have you seen the Italian fashion scene? It’s like stepping into a glamorous magazine spread! I've already found a couple of fantastic shops filled with stunning vintage clothes and accessories that perfectly complement my pink tutu aesthetic. You can’t have a Pink Tutu adventure without a bit of retail therapy! And you know, after I saw all the elegant Roman women looking effortlessly stylish, I had to get a new hat. A delicate floral sun hat is a must-have accessory here. 👒

Roman Rhapsody: Cultural Delights

Today, my lovely tutufied readers, was all about absorbing the sights, smells, and sounds of Rome. We started the day at the Colosseum, its mighty grandeur just took my breath away. Then we strolled through the Forum Romanum and marvelled at the ancient ruins. Honestly, walking among those ancient structures just made me want to perform a spontaneous ballet in the centre! Maybe for my next trip. 😜

Later, we visited the Trevi Fountain, the ultimate symbol of romance. Did you know it's tradition to throw a coin in the fountain to ensure you'll return to Rome one day? Well, let’s just say, I made my wish for more ballet adventures. 💫 And of course, I had to twirl for a few photos – every stunning backdrop is a photo op waiting to happen! The whole day was practically a performance, right?! 😄

Dining Delight: From Pizza to Pasta

After all that exploring, our stomachs were singing a very Italian tune, and oh boy, was dinner a treat! I think it's pretty clear to all you tutufied followers out there that I have a bit of a sweet tooth, so my absolute highlight of the night was, naturally, the gelato. Vanilla with a hint of caramel? Don’t mind if I do! 🍦

But let’s be real, Rome is famous for more than just sweet treats. It’s a foodie paradise, with its delectable pizzas, delicious pastas, and hearty meals – every single dish we tried was heavenly! It's fair to say, my taste buds have never been so happy. I even got to try some traditional Roman-style pasta made with ricotta and spinach – a real Italian delicacy! It was divine, although maybe I did add a sprinkle of pink food colouring to make it a little extra... 💕

A Pink Tutu Moment: The Opera

As the evening wound down, we headed to a spectacular Opera House, the perfect end to a glorious day! It’s always such a pleasure to witness live performances and the energy within the opera house tonight was magical. I was lucky enough to see La Traviata - a real treat for this tutu-loving soul! 💃 It's truly fascinating how music, dance, and storytelling blend together so beautifully.

There's a real magical energy in these theatres, I swear, it always fills me with inspiration and reminds me just how much I love what I do.

Balancing Work & Travel: Finding That Perfect Harmony

This blog wouldn’t exist without those special ballet shows I do. It’s what funds these incredible trips and I feel very fortunate to be able to follow my dreams – both on stage and on the road! I do want to give a massive shout-out to my amazing supporters. It really does mean the world that you love to follow my adventures with a pink tutu and encourage my work. You're all wonderful! 😘

Keep it Pink and Twirly:

And remember, life’s too short for beige! So go out there and wear that pink tutu, don't be afraid to twirl and let your inner ballerina shine. Every day is an opportunity to embrace colour, joy, and a bit of fairytale magic. Ciao for now, my dear friends!

Until next Wednesday,

Emma xoxo
