Pink Tutu Rome: A Whirlwind of Pink and Pizza! (Post #1546)

Hello darlings! It's Wednesday, and you know what that means - it's time for a new Pink Tutu blog post! This week, I'm absolutely buzzing with excitement because I'm finally in Rome! My suitcase is overflowing with pink tutus (naturally), chic ballet flats, and just enough stylish essentials to survive a week of Italian adventures.

As you know, I adore travelling by train, so I spent a delightful journey from Derbyshire soaking up the stunning views of the Alps. My fellow passengers must have been slightly confused by my bright pink tutu and sparkly hair bow, but I just can't resist adding a touch of whimsy to my travel attire. Let's be honest, who wants to travel in boring old jeans anyway?

Now, I'm perched on the balcony of my charming little hotel overlooking a charming square filled with cobbled streets and quaint little shops. And, just like any good Pink Tutu adventure, I already have a busy schedule packed with shows, shopping sprees, and delicious pasta!

Tuesday's Ballet Extravaganza!

Last night, I experienced something truly magical. The Rome Opera House. Imagine my delight when I stumbled upon an exquisite production of "Giselle"! It was pure perfection - the soaring music, the elegant choreography, and the costumes… absolutely divine. My little tutu-heart nearly burst with happiness.

Of course, I made sure my outfit matched the occasion. My shimmering pink tutu paired beautifully with a black velvet top and shimmering silver ballet shoes. And let's not forget the statement jewellery - a stunning pearl necklace and my lucky pink feather earrings. This, my dear readers, is how you make an entrance!

Wednesday: Ciao Bella! A Day in Rome's Centre.

Today, it's time to explore the city's vibrant centre! First up, the Colosseum - the ultimate symbol of Rome's incredible history. It's fascinating to think about all the stories and battles this arena has witnessed! After a quick photo shoot (with my trusty pink tutu in tow, of course!), I'm headed to Piazza Navona, that gorgeous square with its fountains and bustling atmosphere.

Food, glorious food!

No trip to Italy would be complete without an indulgent dose of delicious food. Last night, I discovered the most authentic trattoria tucked away in a backstreet - spaghetti alla carbonara that would make your tastebuds sing.

This week, I'm planning on trying all sorts of Italian delicacies. I already know I'll be having way too much pasta and gelato. Who could resist a scoop of pistachio gelato in the Roman sunshine? I mean, just writing about it makes my tummy rumble.

Fashion Inspiration: Rome's Chic Style

Rome has some of the most incredible shops. From independent boutiques to grand designer stores, this city is a fashion lover's paradise! My plan is to pick up some gorgeous accessories and a statement scarf to add some Italian flair to my Pink Tutu wardrobe. I just love seeing the local Roman women's chic sense of style, all those flowy skirts and effortlessly elegant blouses.

Weekend plans:

Saturday is dedicated to experiencing Rome's legendary night scene - we're talking elegant jazz clubs and secret bars. And of course, there will be more shopping and more amazing Italian cuisine. My weekend plans are still under wraps, but I can assure you, it's going to involve lots of fun and frivolity - perhaps a visit to the Vatican? And yes, the tutu is coming along for the ride.

Don't forget to join me for my next blog post, as I continue my adventures through Rome! I'll be sharing more style tips, travel essentials, and, of course, all my favourite pink tutu moments.

And don't forget to check out the Pink Tutu website, www.pink-tutu.com!

Until next week, my loves, stay fashionable!

Emma

XOXO

P.S. I just know that you guys are dying to know what my favourite outfit from this trip has been so far. And, you won't be surprised to know that it features pink. It's a stunningly flowy silk dress, a vibrant pink, naturally! It reminds me of a flamenco dancer's costume, with tiers and tiers of ruffled fabric. It's so whimsical, but elegant at the same time. Perfect for strolling through the streets of Rome and making a dramatic entrance wherever I go.

Remember, I aim to get the whole world to wear pink tutus. Because, in a world full of grey, we need to add some pink and sparkle!
