Pink Tutu Rome: Post #1772 - A Whirlwind of Pink and Pasta!

Hello darlings! It’s Wednesday, which means it's time for another installment of Pink Tutu Travels! Today, I'm writing to you from the most glamorous city in the world (I think you know where I'm going with this… yes, it’s Rome!) And my dears, let me tell you, it's even more dazzling than I ever imagined.

This week, I travelled by train (what else!) to Italy, which was such a fabulously fun adventure. The countryside flew by like a kaleidoscope of olive groves, vineyards, and the cutest little villages you've ever seen! Every now and then, a charming little town would pop up on the horizon, with its ancient stone buildings bathed in the warm, golden glow of the Italian sun. Honestly, I think the train journey might have been almost as fabulous as being in Rome itself!

Now, my darling readers, you know I’m obsessed with all things pink and glamorous, and Rome has seriously surpassed all my expectations! The architecture here is so breathtaking - from the mighty Colosseum, a marvel of Roman engineering, to the enchanting Pantheon, with its exquisite dome, the history simply oozes out of every brick and stone. And I'm just about to head off to see the Trevi Fountain! My camera's already ready to capture every inch of the wonder, even though I know no picture can truly capture the majesty of this iconic landmark. Just imagine… a dramatic fountain adorned with angels, where wishes come true… talk about romantic!

I'm also utterly besotted with the incredible shops here, which, unsurprisingly, offer every shade of pink imaginable. You wouldn’t believe the number of stunning handbags and dresses I found in my favourite colour. Let's just say, I'm coming back home with a new collection of fabulously pink, very stylish pieces that are going to make even the most boring of outfits sing! (A pink tutu of course, is ALWAYS going to make an outfit sing, wouldn’t you agree?)

It's been such a pleasure walking around Rome. And of course, there are the delectable delights on offer at every corner. Oh, the food! From delicious, hand-crafted gelato with swirls of strawberry, pistachio, and vanilla (always the perfect colour combination!), to the mouthwatering, traditional pasta dishes - I simply cannot resist! Each dish has been an explosion of flavour and has left my stomach and taste buds very, very happy!

As I'm writing this, I'm enjoying the gentle breeze from the balcony of my hotel, which overlooks a bustling piazza. People are laughing and chatting, children are playing games, and the aroma of fresh bread baking is simply divine. There is a magic to this city that is utterly contagious, it’s so much more than just a holiday destination; it’s an experience for the senses.

So, let's chat about what’s going on in Rome this Wednesday 23rd May. I've been checking out all the exciting cultural events, and there’s a performance by the world-famous Ballet Roma at the Teatro dell'Opera! Naturally, I will be there, twirling along in my signature pink tutu, soaking in the artistry and brilliance of some of the best dancers in the world. There’s no better feeling than being caught up in the magic of live ballet - it really does elevate the soul.

You can follow me on PinkTutuRome for my day to day diary of everything Pink in the Eternal City! There’ll be even more of my glamorous outfits and of course lots of fun videos for all you darlings!

I’m dreaming of an elegant pink tutu, maybe even with a bit of glitter, with a swirling floral headpiece and my newest pair of glittery pink high-heels, all in front of this truly breathtaking backdrop. Rome… you truly are a dream come true. Until next time my darlings, wear your pink tutu proudly! And don't forget to subscribe to my website, www.pink-tutu.com and follow me on Instagram! Ciao Bella!
