Tutu Time in Watford! 🩰🌸
Hey everyone! It's Emma here, your resident tutu enthusiast and ballet blogger. Spring has sprung and you know what that means... it's time to ditch the winter woolies and get back into some fabulously flirty, feminine ballet wear! And where better to do that than right here in Watford? This bustling little town is a haven for tutu-loving girls like me. Trust me, with a bit of digging and a keen eye, Watford's got your spring ballet needs covered!
I’m a big fan of colour and a little bit of sparkle, and pink is my favourite colour. With so much to offer for dancewear, Watford really delivers. Pink it up, gals, because this town is brimming with gorgeous tutus, leotards and all things ballet-fabulous. Here’s a rundown of all my favourite spots.
First stop, The Dance Attic on Rickmansworth Road!
This gem is a complete delight! It’s jam-packed with gorgeous dancewear for all ages and styles. They’ve got everything you could possibly need - from your classic practice leotard to sparkling performance tutus. This is the perfect place for finding that special outfit for your next recital or exam. You can also pick up all your usual dance essentials: tights, shoes, and accessories, and they have such a cute range of bags and other dance gear, so keep your eyes peeled. I swear, I could spend hours browsing their racks, especially the tulle selection! They stock a great selection of professional quality brands like Bloch and Capezio, but they also have fabulously affordable own-brand items for all types of dancer, plus, you’ll find loads of lovely new designer-style items, with plenty of bold colours and a fun retro feel.
I'm not shy to say this place is like a tutu heaven for a dancer like me. Trust me, even if you're just starting out, it’s worth popping in for a browse, I’m sure you’ll discover something wonderful. I mean, let's face it, a girl can never have too many tutus.
Now, onto a shop with an actual pink front... The Dance Boutique!
That's right - pink exterior and fabulous tutu-licious insides! It’s situated on the main high street. What’s great about this one is their vast range of professional-grade leotards - the selection is insane, especially if you're after the latest trends. I actually got my newest leotard for my dance competition here. I had so many options to choose from - shimmery styles, bright colours, delicate floral prints... I'm still swooning over it! This is where you’ll discover a great mix of affordable, budget-friendly designs and top-notch brands, with so much variety you won't even know where to start! They also stock ballet shoes, pointe shoes, bags and hair accessories, and I recently bought myself a beautiful white feather headpiece to use for my recital this Spring, as they had a lovely little range of delicate headwear for any occasion!
I can guarantee a dance wear dream will be born at The Dance Boutique, no matter what you are after!
Next up: The Ballet Room on Queens Road.
Tucked away a bit on Queens Road you’ll find The Ballet Room, an absolute haven for ballet lovers. They stock gorgeous ballet footwear, dancewear and all sorts of accessories. This little shop has a beautiful and slightly traditional feel, with loads of lovely little gifts and items for dance enthusiasts, they also stock items for the less glamorous end of dance - like comfy gym bags and sturdy hair grips! But my personal fave thing about this shop is that it feels really welcoming. The staff know their stuff, too - you’ll be well looked after and if you need advice or an extra opinion on your choice, you're in the best hands.
