Spring is in the air, the sun is shining (most of the time!), and I'm itching for some new ballet gear. What better time than spring to get a gorgeous new tutu, a flirty leotard, and a whole bunch of pretty ballet accessories to take my classes to the next level? So, I'm making a trip to Worthing - my go-to spot for all things ballet-related - and I'm going to take you all with me!
For those of you who haven't been, Worthing is a delightful seaside town with a charming old-town and a surprisingly good selection of ballet shops. We'll be exploring the independent gems that hide amidst the traditional boutiques, discovering those secret treasures that have been just waiting for you.

My first stop will definitely be the Dancewear Den! Located in the heart of the town centre, it's the perfect place to browse for the essentials:
- Leotards: Think sassy cuts and bold colours for spring. I’m always drawn to leotards in fresh shades like mint green, baby blue and of course - pink! You can never have too much pink. 🌸 They have a great range of styles from classic to modern, with plenty of options for all shapes and sizes.
- Tights: I’m looking for that springy colour. Ballet pinks are always lovely, or why not try a fresh floral print?
- Shoes: This shop is also my go-to for shoes - they have a huge selection of ballet pumps and pointe shoes for all levels.
Warm-up Wear: We all know how cold the studio can get in the mornings so warm-up wear is an absolute essential.

- I’ve always found that they stock amazing deals in the “Sale” section - it's worth spending a few minutes digging around, as you could find a hidden treasure at a steal!
Shop Number 2: Danceworx
Danceworx is nestled in the quieter part of town, perfect for a little detour on your way back to the train station. This is where I go for that ultimate dancer feel-good experience. It's definitely one of those stores you could spend hours in:
- Tutus: Danceworx has the absolute best selection of tutus I’ve found. They are all beautiful. Forget cheap plastic - these are high-quality tutus with proper fabrics, lovely cuts and colours that you will adore. Whether you're after a romantic, flowing tutu, a sleek and elegant option or even something with a hint of contemporary style, Danceworx is your one-stop shop.
- Accessories: Now, here’s where it gets really fun. Danceworx stocks gorgeous ribbons, hair clips, and dance jewellery – I'm absolutely in love with their sparkling butterfly clips.

This ballet-inspired guide just scrapes the surface of what Worthing has to offer! Worthing is my favorite place for shopping.
My trip wouldn’t be complete without a stop at "Cafe Blanc." This cute, little coffee shop is just next door to Ballet Boutique, and they serve amazing cakes and hot drinks – I’m obsessed with their lattes!

- Bring a bag to carry all your new purchases - you'll definitely need one!
