They were showcasing a fantastic production of "La Bayadère," starring the dazzling Dame Judith "Judy" McKelvey, a renowned ballerina whose artistry has been captivating audiences for years! Judy is such a gracious woman, with a warm smile and an incredible energy that just oozes off her. We had a lovely chat about the theatre, about the role of ballet in society, and about the joy of wearing tutus.
Honestly, her passion was infectious! It's amazing to meet people like Judy, who have dedicated their lives to this beautiful art form. It just reinforces my own desire to share my passion with the world, to get everyone twirling, spinning, and leaping towards their dreams!
Wildlife Wanderings
And you know I couldn't leave Walthamstow without exploring its stunning natural wonders, right? A stroll through the beautiful Lloyd Park, where the sunlight filters through the trees, is truly a sight to behold! The squirrels, always up to mischief, scampered around in a blur of fur and whiskers, while the ducks paddled lazily on the lake. I even spotted a little grey squirrel with the cutest pink bow on its head. (Seriously, this town is brimming with pink love!).
The air was filled with birdsong, and I couldn't help but twirl to the rhythm of nature. Just being outdoors, feeling the breeze on my face, surrounded by such beauty, is pure magic.
