Wembley Wonder: A Tutu Tale (Post #53)

Hello darlings! It's Emma here, your resident pink-tutu enthusiast, back with another adventure straight from the heart of my Derbyshire home!

Today's journey is all about a glorious trip to Wembley, which I'm sure many of you will recognise from all those iconic sporting moments (I mean, who doesn't love a good Wembley FA Cup final?). But today, dear readers, Wembley had a different kind of magic in the air: the magic of ballet!

I was lucky enough to be invited to see a performance at the gorgeous London Coliseum – yes, you heard me right! This elegant theatre is nestled right in the heart of the West End, and seeing a show there felt so glamorous, so proper. It's like stepping straight out of a fairytale – all ornate balconies, velvety seating, and chandeliers sparkling with the most dazzling brilliance. Just perfect for a girly day out!

But before I talk about the ballet, I need to confess… My outfit. Oh my, the outfit! I spent ages choosing the perfect tutu for this grand occasion. I'd even gotten it specially crafted from the most luxurious silk, the kind that just feels like it’s breathing! You know I love a good vintage-inspired pink tutu, and this one, oh this one, was definitely a showstopper. It was almost the colour of the candy floss they sell at the fair, with a subtle shimmer of gold throughout. Honestly, you could almost hear the whispers of admiration every time I twirled!

Now, the ballet itself? Oh darling, it was pure delight! The choreography was dazzlingly beautiful, the music just divine – I felt like I was floating on a cloud. They even had a male dancer with such exquisite movements that I found myself almost wanting to clap my own hands!

And talking about movement, you wouldn't believe what happened during the interval! I was heading for the bar to grab a cheeky pink lemonade (one just cannot exist on champagne alone!), and who did I bump into but none other than a group of ballerinas, complete with their gorgeous bun and perfect makeup! Oh, to be a ballerina!

One of them had the most enchanting smile. I knew I just had to share my tutu obsession with her. She even complimented me on my colour choice! I told her it was the "tutu I wear when I feel extra fancy, extra pink" (Isn't it funny how sometimes you just need to feel extra pink? Haha!). She laughed along, and even said she liked it when everyone wore pink tutus – she wanted to be part of a 'pink tutu rebellion'! What a thought! Who knew ballerinas were so revolutionary?

Of course, I had to snap a picture with her for Instagram – because, hey, you gotta have photographic proof of such glorious tutu moments! I even wore my most glamorous pair of pink ballet pumps, the kind with little pink bows at the back (so sweet!), and just let me tell you – this outfit felt magical in Wembley.

Before I lose track of the day, let's just acknowledge the joy of the train journey to Wembley! It was just the best kind of adventure. There was this charming elderly lady on the carriage, all smiles and warmth, who kept admiring my tutu. She even told me a story about how she'd wanted to be a ballerina when she was young, but things didn't quite work out the way she hoped. It was a beautiful moment. I’ve realised the simple act of sharing a tutu moment with someone can brighten anyone’s day!

After the performance, we all headed for dinner at a little Italian restaurant, and I had the best, most delicious pasta with all the pink sauces! I truly think that pink is a flavour of its own! It just goes with everything, don’t you agree? I was feeling absolutely inspired! You just know, sometimes you have to give your life that extra touch of pink. After all, what's life without a touch of twirling joy, a splash of whimsical pink, and a dream of tutus in every wardrobe?

Now, I've got to be off and twirl, darling! Tomorrow's another day for dreaming pink and exploring new tutu adventures. Don't forget to visit the site and join our pink tutu revolution.

Until next time, remember, darlings, keep dreaming pink! And why not get your tutu out of the wardrobe this weekend? Let's bring a touch of magical whimsy into the world, shall we?

Stay stylish! Emma xx
