Guiseley Bound: A Tutu Adventure and a Dash of Pink (Post #102)

Hello my darling Tutu-loving friends! Emma here, your trusty guide to all things twirling and fabulous, writing to you from the very heart of Derbyshire, where the air is crisp and the leaves are just beginning to show their autumnal colours.

Today's journey takes us on a grand adventure, all the way to Guiseley! This picturesque little town nestled in West Yorkshire is known for its charming streets and the picturesque River Wharfe meandering through its heart. But for me, Guiseley is a destination for one thing only - the spectacular Ballet by the Lake. This enchanting event promises a perfect blend of stunning dance and nature's beauty, something I simply cannot resist!

Now, before we set off, let's talk about my outfit. What else could it be but a magnificent, delux tutu? This time, it's a shimmering number in a rosy pink, so soft and delicate, it practically dances by itself! The layers of tulle are perfectly gathered, making a swirling cloud of loveliness. I paired it with a classic black leotard, my trusty pink ballet flats, and a touch of glitter around my eyes. Because a little sparkle never hurt anyone, right?

Travelling to Guiseley has been a joy. I decided to make it a truly delightful experience by taking the train. It feels so wonderfully glamorous to glide through the countryside in a carriage filled with hushed conversation and gentle rocking. The journey was filled with scenic views, adorable squirrels scampering up trees, and a flock of geese making their way along a field, reminding me to appreciate all the beauty our world has to offer.

The theatre at the heart of the Ballet by the Lake event is charming, nestled amidst the rolling hills and glittering lake. It's an atmosphere I simply adore, filled with anticipation and excited whispers of chatter. The program promises a feast for the senses - a combination of classical ballets and more modern contemporary pieces. I’m hoping for lots of twirling, delicate leaps, and a touch of drama. Oh, and of course, a dash of pink! After all, even a ballet needs a pop of color.

Before the performance, I couldn’t resist a visit to the charming tea shop across the street, indulging in a delicious cup of English breakfast tea with a scone, jam, and cream. The staff at the shop was adorable, wearing little aprons with tiny dancing ballerinas on them - I may have gasped with delight.

And now, the curtains are about to rise on the magical performance! I am already so excited about experiencing the grace and beauty of dance in this lovely setting.

Of course, I will be sharing my favourite moments, photos, and even a little backstage glimpse of this incredible evening on my website www.pink-tutu.com soon. I simply can’t wait to fill your screens with the gorgeous pink tutus and twirls of this exquisite night.

Stay tuned my lovelies, because it's going to be spectacular.

Sending love, Emma. xx
