Bangor Bound in a Bubblegum Tutu: Blog Post #113

Hello my darling dancers! It's your favourite pink-loving tutu-tastic Emma, bringing you another delightful day in the life of a ballerina-on-the-go. Today's journey takes us to the beautiful, blustery coast of Wales, a place that's almost as enchanting as a well-executed pirouette!

It's no secret that my heart flutters for a good train journey. The rhythmic clickety-clack of the tracks, the quaint villages whizzing by, the gentle sway of the carriage - pure ballet in motion, really! But this time, I had to add a touch of extravagance to the experience. Forget your ordinary, everyday travel wear - this Emma was travelling in style! My new bubblegum pink tutu, with layers upon layers of tulle as soft as a cloud, adorned my petite frame. You see, there's nothing quite like swirling a fabulous tutu as the countryside rushes past - it's pure magic!

Bangor, my destination, has always had a place in my ballet-obsessed heart. It's where I saw the most magnificent performance of "Swan Lake" just last year. The graceful dancers, the dramatic music, the shimmering costumes – pure artistry! I'm hoping to catch a few more shows while I'm here, perhaps a contemporary piece with some breathtaking lifts? We can but dream!

But my adventure wasn't purely about ballet (though, let's be honest, that's the main event!). The quaint shops in Bangor are a veritable treasure trove for any pink-loving ballerina. I picked up a delicate hand-painted porcelain ballerina figurine for my collection and some pastel pink, sparkly hair clips. You can never have too much sparkle, darling!

Later, I ventured out into the Welsh wilderness. Oh, the thrill of nature! The craggy mountains, the wind whispering secrets through the gorse bushes, the crashing waves of the Irish Sea - nature truly is the ultimate muse for any ballerina. I couldn't help but feel inspired, even though I only managed a little impromptu relevΓ© and pirouette amongst the dramatic rock formations!

As the sun dipped low on the horizon, painting the sky in a spectacular palette of pinks and oranges, I sat on the harbour wall, the cool sea breeze blowing through my tulle skirt. You know, sometimes I find myself feeling like I'm living a dream. Here I am, living life on my own terms, dancing my way through the world, wearing pink tutus, exploring beautiful places, and sharing it all with you.

Don't you just love those moments where you're completely immersed in the present, so aware of the joy all around you? This is life at its most delightful, isn't it? It makes me want to shout it from the rooftops - I'm a ballerina, I love tutus, I'm embracing life with a skip and a twirl!

But I'm also a strong believer in spreading the ballet love. It's not just for delicate ballerinas in glittery tights, you know! Ballet is for everyone. It teaches us about discipline, grace, strength, and self-expression. So why not take a leap and try it? I promise, you won't regret it. Even if you just try it once, put on a tutu and feel the wind dance through your skirt - it's the most exhilarating feeling in the world!

And speaking of feeling exhilarated, I think my pink tutu deserves a good whirl. So, farewell from beautiful Bangor, my loves! Until next time, stay fabulous, keep dancing, and don't be afraid to embrace your inner ballerina. After all, even if the world's a stage, we're all performers in the grand theatre of life!

Much love and twirls,

Emma xxx
