Hampstead, Sweet Hampstead, and My Yellow Tutu - Post 144

Darling dears,

Good morning from the glorious, autumnal streets of Hampstead! My yellow tutu is feeling positively giddy at the thought of all the sights, sounds, and (hopefully) delicious cream teas we’re about to encounter! I'm so chuffed to be posting from such a charming part of London.

Today is all about embracing the quaint charm of Hampstead. I love that this corner of the city feels a world away from the bustling crowds and flashing neon of central London. Think quaint cafes, cosy pubs, and, of course, Hampstead Heath! Yes, darlings, my tutu is already yearning to twirl on the Heath – just imagine the wind catching its frills! It’s pure, unadulterated ballet-in-the-park joy, and honestly, who could ask for more?

The journey here was delightful, as always. The train from Derby to London is so picturesque – fields, rolling hills, charming little stations – the perfect backdrop for a ballet girl on the move. Though, to be honest, I think a good horse ride to London might just be the ideal mode of transportation. Can you picture me, on a dappled grey steed, my yellow tutu swirling around me, making my way through the bustling streets? Oh la la!

Of course, a trip to Hampstead wouldn’t be complete without a little dose of ballet, wouldn't you say? My diary is packed with ballet classes and performances at the English National Ballet this weekend. Just picturing myself in my tutu amongst other enthusiasts - such an incredible way to spend a Saturday!

The lovely, artistic atmosphere of this place always gets my creative juices flowing, and I already feel inspiration striking for a new blog post. Perhaps I'll do a piece on how to find your inner ballet muse. It’s all about finding those moments that bring you joy – twirling on Hampstead Heath, taking in a ballet performance, or simply wearing a pink tutu!

Speaking of pink tutus... Oh my dears, I had to stop and say hello to the most adorable family of foxes on the train! They were all curled up in a den on the edge of the track, and they seemed absolutely mesmerized by the passing train. They were like miniature dancers – all soft fur and sly smiles, their eyes as bright as pink tutus! It was absolutely charming, and definitely a happy start to my day.

There's a lovely vintage tea shop around the corner – the kind of place where you'd expect to bump into a fairytale princess, complete with her own fairy-godmother-approved tutu, of course! Let’s see if they’ve got scones and jam, shall we? My tutu, and my tummy, are begging for a spot of tea!

As I venture further into this whimsical corner of London, my yellow tutu will, as always, be the star of the show! Because even on an adventure filled with cozy pubs, charming shops, and maybe even a wild fox encounter, my beloved tutu is always there to bring the magic. My mission is, and forever shall be, to encourage you to find your inner dancer, to unleash your joy, to twirl with abandon, and to wear that pink tutu with confidence.

Yours truly,

Emma

P.S. Be sure to check back tomorrow, darlings, as I'm planning on sharing some delightful pictures of my time here! I’ll let you know if I find any particularly delicious cakes too – it's always a delightful pursuit!
