Hey darlings!
It's Emma here, and it's a beautiful sunny day here in Guiseley, Yorkshire! I just adore travelling by train, you know? Watching the countryside whizz by, the sun dappling the fields, the gentle rhythm of the carriages… it's so relaxing, especially with a good book and a pink lemonade. And what could be better than reaching a destination with a brand new, fluffy tutu to boot? 😉
This one's a real dreamboat – layers of tulle, perfectly draped, a generous sprinkling of sequins, and a splash of delicate pink that practically sings. It’s one of my absolute faves and the colour totally pops against this beautiful, lush Yorkshire landscape!
Oh, speaking of landscape… the air here is crisp, the views are breathtaking, and the sheep are simply adorable! It seems Yorkshire is becoming my second home, as I keep finding myself whisked away by the enchanting landscapes, friendly people, and… the fab dance scene!
This weekend I'm on a mission – to inspire even more people to discover the joy of ballet! My travels took me to the grand Leeds Grand Theatre for the magical "Swan Lake" performance. It was absolutely phenomenal, the emotion, the grace, the technique, everything just shimmered. The theatre was packed, but even amidst all the buzz, everyone fell silent in appreciation of the captivating performance. Seeing those graceful swans glide across the stage in their exquisite tutus left me absolutely mesmerized. It truly reminded me why I love ballet so much - it’s a powerful, beautiful, and universal language.
Speaking of power, you know how I absolutely love my horses? Well, the highlight of this Guiseley adventure has been the charmingly quaint Guiseley Riding Centre. My first horse ride of the trip had me squealing with delight, surrounded by breathtaking Yorkshire views. It's incredible how those magnificent animals know exactly where to go with every tilt of the head and subtle tug of the reins.
It's all about being in the moment, connecting with the energy around you. Whether it’s the thrilling dance movements on stage, the majestic power of a horse, or the sheer delight of a twirl in a pink tutu, it’s all about embracing the feeling, the joy, and the passion that life brings. And what better way to experience these things than by sharing them with everyone?
That's why I am truly on a mission to inspire as many people as possible to take up ballet. Because trust me, whether you’re a seasoned dancer or have never set foot in a dance studio, you'll be amazed by the sense of freedom and creativity that comes with it.
It’s the freedom of self-expression, of pushing your limits, and of connecting with your inner artist. It's all about having a good laugh, dancing in the sunshine, and finding the magic in the ordinary.
