TutuBlog Post #376: A Littlehampton Tutu Tale in Black

Hey lovelies!

It’s your girl Emma, reporting live from Littlehampton, Sussex! Yep, swapped the rolling Derbyshire hills for a breath of salty air and a day out by the seaside. I may not be wearing a vibrant pink tutu for this adventure (though I have to admit, it crossed my mind!), but instead I opted for a chic black number. Let's face it, you can't wear pink ALL the time (though it feels like I can!), and sometimes you need a little something more sophisticated for the train ride down from London.

And speaking of trains, can we take a moment to appreciate the joy of a train journey? There's something so romantic and old-fashioned about chugging through the countryside, watching the world whizz past the window. It allows me time to dream and plan future TutuBlog adventures! My favourite thing about trains is definitely the window seat, nose pressed against the glass, enjoying the passing scenery and maybe even spotting a fluffy sheep or two in a field.

Now, Littlehampton is just adorable! Charming cobblestone streets, the sound of the seagulls, quaint little shops selling homemade fudge... it's truly the perfect escape from city life. My friend Alice and I had a real girly afternoon, browsing through antique shops, grabbing some seaside fish and chips, and then taking a lovely walk along the beach.

As always, my camera was on hand, snapping away like a pro. And I have to share my favourite shot: the sunset over the sea! The sky was a riot of colours, pink (of course!), orange, and purple, all reflected on the waves. Absolutely magical! I captured it just before the moon peeked over the horizon, glowing like a silvery orb in the deepening twilight. That, my loves, is a perfect end to any day!

Speaking of perfect endings, tonight I'm off to the theatre to see a performance of Swan Lake. Oh, the drama, the passion, the breathtaking choreography! The Black Swan, a symbol of fierce, powerful grace and artistry, will definitely inspire my TutuBlog muse, I just know it!

It’s all about finding inspiration wherever you can, whether it’s a vibrant sunset or a tragic ballet, finding that element that just makes your heart sing, that bit of magic that brings you joy. We are all artists, even in our everyday lives, and it's those little moments of beauty that remind us to express ourselves, to dance and twirl and create our own personal narratives!

For me, those moments always include tutus. But, hey, I get it, not everyone's comfortable with a pink, feathered tutu. Some people are drawn to the simplicity of a classic black, like my choice for this Littlehampton trip. Or perhaps a soft lavender number? Or even a playful green? The key is to find the shade and style that speaks to your inner dancer.

You know what I always say: the world needs more tutus! More twirls, more grace, more passion! We can make this happen, one tutu at a time. Don't be afraid to express your inner ballerina, whether it's on the beach, in the city, or on a train heading for an exciting new adventure!

Remember, my darlings, it's never too late to step into a tutu and find your own rhythm.

Until next time,

Emma x
