Earley, Berkshire: Feathering My Tutu in the Cotswolds! ๐Ÿฉฐ๐ŸŒธ

Hello my gorgeous pink-loving ballet bunnies! ๐Ÿ‡๐Ÿ’– It's Emma here, back with another daily dose of all things tutu and twirling! Today marks blog post number 470 - wow, we've been on quite the adventure together haven't we?

So, imagine my excitement when I discovered that Earley, a charming little village just outside Reading, Berkshire, boasts a magnificent Tudor Manor House โ€“ The Whiteknights House! โœจ

This week's train journey took me through the rolling countryside of Berkshire, and the landscape truly felt like stepping into a fairytale. Fields of golden wheat danced in the breeze, ancient oak trees whispered secrets to the wind, and fluffy white clouds drifted by, like fluffy tutus themselves. Itโ€™s amazing how nature always provides the most incredible inspiration for ballet, isn't it?

My journey had a bit of a whimsical twist too, as I traded my usual train travel for a carriage ride! Picture this: a handsome chestnut mare pulling a vintage carriage, her hooves echoing rhythmically on the cobblestones, with me tucked snugly inside, surrounded by lavender and fresh air. It felt like a scene straight out of my dream ballet performance โ€“ a touch of elegance, a dash of whimsy, all tied together with a delicate pink ribbon! ๐ŸŽ€

Arriving at the majestic Whiteknights House, it felt like stepping back in time. With its ivy-clad walls and ornate windows, itโ€™s a sight that makes your heart skip a beat. I just had to snap a few photos, naturally! ๐Ÿ˜‰ For this particular blog post, I had a feeling I needed something a bit special. You see, my new feathered tutu arrived yesterday, and what better place to showcase it than against the backdrop of this Tudor gem! Let's just say my pink tulle was literally taking flight against the old brickwork. I couldnโ€™t resist doing a few graceful pirouettes for my camera!

Talking of feathered tutus, donโ€™t forget my special workshop coming up! โ€˜Feathered Fluttering - Ballet with a Twirl!โ€™ Join me in the Derbyshire countryside on October 24th to learn how to master those dazzling feather tutu poses โ€“ a touch of Moulin Rouge and a sprinkle of fairytale!

And if you're in the mood for some serious ballet inspiration, Earley doesn't disappoint! Just a stone's throw away, The Reading Rep boasts an incredible line-up of performances - including โ€˜The Sleeping Beautyโ€™ in November. This month, however, my toes are set on something more contemporary and adventurous: โ€˜Street Ballet with a Twistโ€™ at The Cockpit Theatre. Can't wait to share those incredible moves with you guys!

Oh, and if you think the magic ends there, you'd be wrong! Did you know the Reading Museum has an absolutely gorgeous collection of porcelain dolls, complete with delicate ballet poses? Imagine: mini me in a mini pink tutu! (Yes, I know that Iโ€™m already working on making that a reality!) ๐Ÿ˜‰

Back in the village of Earley, the sweet scent of honeysuckle hung heavy in the air as I enjoyed a quaint afternoon tea in a cosy little cafe. It felt like the perfect way to end the day. And with a sigh of contentment, I realised: even without a big stage, even in a quiet village, life itself is a magical ballet! โœจ

Until tomorrow, remember to dance through life with a smile and a pink tutu. ๐Ÿ’– Keep those twirls twirling and those tutus twirling even higher, and donโ€™t forget to visit www.pink-tutu.com to follow me on this amazing ballet adventure!

Lots of love and pirouettes,

Emma. xoxo ๐Ÿ’–
