Rhyl Calling: Tutu Adventures and Pink Paradise (Post #512)

Hey lovelies! 👋 It’s Emma here, your pink-loving, tutu-touting, ballet-obsessed blogger from Derbyshire! Today, I’m bringing you all the twirlingly fabulous fun from my latest adventure, and I’m excited to say that it involved both tutus and trains – double the magic, right?! 🚂🩰

Let’s dive right in. I’m a bit of a train enthusiast (you probably gathered that from my frequent trips!), so for my trip to Rhyl, I opted for a grand adventure on the rails. As soon as I saw that old-fashioned train platform at Matlock Bath Station, I knew this was going to be a journey steeped in nostalgia – and perfect for a quick outfit change! 😜 I whipped out my sparkly, lilac tutu and donned my blush pink cardigan for a touch of romantic whimsy, of course.

I always feel like the train is a portal to another world. And in Rhyl, that world was one of colourful beach huts, charming seaside shops and oh-so-sweet, vanilla-scented candy floss. 😋 I literally couldn’t resist snapping a photo with the iconic pier, all brightly painted wood and laughing children.

My main reason for visiting, though, was a visit to a secret location! Now, I can’t reveal too much about this special place, but let’s just say it was like a haven for aspiring dancers. It was a gorgeous, historic hall, bathed in warm light, with a floor that just begged to be danced upon! It’s the perfect venue for any ballet enthusiast, and it’s truly the best-kept secret on the Rhyl coastline. I can't wait to share more details when I can, but trust me, it's going to be huge! 🤫

Naturally, I couldn’t go to Rhyl without doing some serious ballet explorations. I found this lovely little studio nestled behind the shops, filled with the most wonderful smell of sweat, wood polish, and… was that candy floss again? 😂 Turns out, there was a class running – a graceful, whimsical fusion of ballet technique and modern moves, all set to dreamy music that transported me straight to fairyland.

Speaking of fairyland, did I mention I went wild for Rhyl's wild life? 😉 I mean, let's be real – the beach isn't just about the seaside, it's also a wonderland for those amazing creatures! So I took a walk down the beach and took in the glorious waves and crisp sea air. A pod of playful seals made a grand appearance, basking in the afternoon sun, and a group of brave seagulls dive-bombed a passing fisherman, with so much determination! 😂 The energy was electric, the air was pure joy, and it honestly felt like an afternoon with old friends – those feathered, flippered, and sometimes even scaled friends, of course.

So, what’s next for our travelling ballerina? Oh, let’s just say the magic never stops, and my dance-filled diary is already bursting at the seams! I’ve got my sights set on a dreamy castle in Wales, a secret Parisian boutique that I simply must find, and a little ballet adventure to a secret, historic venue… you know me, always up for a surprise! 😉

Keep your eyes peeled for more travel posts, my dearest Tutu Tribe, because wherever my pink-clad feet may roam, my passion for all things ballet, pink and adorable, will always be front and centre! Don't forget, everyone is welcome to the world of ballet - there's a place for every story, every dancer, every dreamer. So, take a leap of faith, join the Tutu Tribe, and let your dreams soar!

Until next time, my darlings!

Lots of love,

Emma ❤️
