Walton upon Thames: Tutu Travels & Pink Perfection! (Post #611)

Hello darlings! Itโ€™s Emma here, and as you know, I'm always on the go, spreading the joy of tutus and ballet wherever I go. Today, I'm sharing my latest adventures from a magical trip to Walton upon Thames, a quaint little town in Surrey.

My journey began in the most enchanting way, with a ride on a gorgeous chestnut mare. Thereโ€™s just something so incredibly romantic about travelling on horseback. The gentle sway of the saddle, the scent of the earth, and the breeze through my hair - pure magic! I wouldn't swap a horseback ride for a million train journeys, but, alas, to get to Walton upon Thames, a train it was! And, bless its cotton socks, the train took me through some absolutely beautiful countryside. Lush green fields dotted with sheep and fluffy lambs, the occasional charming cottage peeking out from the trees โ€“ it was all so quintessentially British, and I canโ€™t tell you how much I love it.

Arriving at Walton upon Thames, I felt the excitement bubble in my chest. I was there to see a captivating ballet performance at the beautiful Walton Playhouse. You can imagine my delight - this charming venue just begged to be adorned in a fabulous tutu! So, I donned my favourite black tutu with delicate layers of tulle. It just added that touch of Parisian chic, and believe me, I got so many compliments!

The performance itself was absolutely divine! A breathtaking production of 'Swan Lake,' showcasing the grace and elegance of the ballet world at its finest. As a dancer myself, my heart practically skipped a beat when the dancers pirouetted and leaped across the stage. The exquisite costumes and the expressive music just filled me with such emotion. I swear, I got goosebumps throughout the entire performance!

Now, no trip is complete without indulging in a delightful afternoon tea. Luckily, Walton upon Thames has a fantastic array of tea rooms, so I went for a traditional afternoon tea, complete with sandwiches, scones, and dainty cakes. The highlight, of course, was the assortment of delicately flavoured teas. I sipped my tea, listening to the chatter around me, and marvelling at the quaint ambiance of the place. I truly felt like I'd stepped out of a Jane Austen novel.

But my adventures didn't end there! Walton upon Thames also has a lovely green space known as The Old Rectory Garden, a sanctuary of peaceful beauty, a little piece of paradise hidden right there in the town. It felt as though I'd been transported to a tranquil garden somewhere in the Cotswolds! I couldn't resist taking a few pictures. The lush greenery and colourful blooms made a truly picture-perfect setting for my favourite pink tutu. I just know the photos will be popping up on my social media, inspiring others to get out and explore their surroundings.

After a day of ballet, delicious food, and stunning landscapes, I felt refreshed and ready to share the love for dance with everyone back home in Derbyshire. Remember, everyone has a little ballerina within them waiting to be unleashed! This week I'll be starting up my new weekly online ballet class so make sure you subscribe to my mailing list to find out when it begins.

Remember darlings, be bold, be adventurous, and be sure to let your inner ballerina shine! And as always, be sure to visit my website at www.pink-tutu.com for more fun posts, ballet tips, and outfit ideas.
