Aberdeen: Tutu-ing Up the North! πŸ©°πŸ’• (Blog Post #797)

Hiya darlings! It's Emma here, your resident pink tutu-loving, ballet-obsessed blogger, writing to you from the bonnie, bracing air of Aberdeen! This lovely city, perched on the wild north-east coast of Scotland, is positively buzzing with energy and, of course, the love of all things beautiful – like pink tutus! πŸ˜‰

Today, I felt inspired to rock my new, blush-hued tulle creation (a total steal at a little boutique near my Derbyshire home, if you must know!) alongside a vintage floral dress and some pearl-studded sandals. A little touch of ballet elegance never hurts, even on a slightly chilly Scottish day!

Now, Aberdeen, for those of you who haven't experienced its charm, is a bit of a gem. I travelled up here by train, which is my favourite way to explore new places. It's a chance to relax, enjoy the scenery (especially those rolling hills – they inspire such grand leaps!), and indulge in a good book and a steaming mug of tea. β˜•

Upon arrival, I was immediately struck by the stunning granite buildings and the vibrant harbourfront. And, oh, the fresh sea air! It invigorates the spirit and reminds me why I love travelling, pushing those creative juices flowing, you know?

After checking into my cosy, seaside-themed hotel (with the cutest little flamingo on the welcome sign – so fitting!), I went for a walk around the city. The first stop, of course, was the Aberdeen Art Gallery. I couldn't resist indulging in some serious art appreciation, taking in the colours, the forms, and imagining those graceful movements inspiring a new ballet routine! 🎨

Next on the itinerary was a visit to the local ballet studio. The scent of rosin, the gentle sounds of piano music, the thrill of stretching and spotting a few familiar faces in the barre class… oh, how I missed my dance community! Luckily, I found a small but delightful studio in a quaint little backstreet and took a drop-in class. What a fantastic way to connect with my inner ballerina, meet some friendly locals, and learn a few new moves! The class itself was challenging but inspiring, and I’ve already started plotting out my next dance challenge. πŸ’ƒ

In the evening, I indulged in the local Scottish fare – some truly delicious seafood accompanied by a crisp pint of cider in a bustling, friendly pub. This was followed by a visit to His Majesty's Theatre, one of the grandest buildings in the city, which was hosting a magnificent touring performance of Swan Lake. My heart fluttered with each beautiful leap, the sweeping waltz, and the expressive portrayal of the Black Swan. It was, simply put, breathtaking. ✨

Today in Aberdeen, I've rediscovered a few important things: the magic of ballet (of course!), the thrill of discovering new places, the joy of sharing my passion for pink tutus and all things graceful with fellow dance enthusiasts, and the ever-present power of a good book, a hot drink, and a comfortable seat on a train. πŸ˜‰

But wait, there’s more! Tomorrow, I’m off to a beautiful spot called Balmoral, the former summer residence of the British monarchy. I've heard that the gardens are spectacular, and I'm sure I'll find some charming flora and fauna inspiration for my next tutu-related project!

Remember, darlings, every day is a chance to embrace the beautiful things in life, be it a ballet performance, a whimsical outfit, or a breathtaking natural scene. And don't forget: there's a pink tutu for everyone, and you can learn to dance no matter what age, shape or size you are!

Until next time, keep it tutu-tiful,

Emma πŸ’–βœ¨πŸ©° www.pink-tutu.com
