TutuBlog #829: Hammersmith & the Italian Tutu! 🩰🇮🇹

Hey darlings! Emma here, back from a whirlwind trip to the big smoke (aka London!) and just bursting with excitement to tell you all about it. Today, I'm feeling like a total princess, a la Cinderella, and honestly, a bit like I’ve stumbled into a scene from a vintage ballet film! ✨

First things first, my journey itself was a dream. Imagine, the countryside of Derbyshire rolling by outside the window as I sat snuggled in my favourite carriage seat on the way to London, gazing at the swaying fields and munching on a delicious apple. So utterly romantic! 🍎

London always makes my heart flutter. It's full of bustling energy, gorgeous architecture, and – most importantly - AMAZING ballet performances! I always make a point of seeing a few shows when I'm in town. This time, it was a spectacular contemporary piece at Sadler's Wells Theatre that truly knocked my socks off (well, not literally! My tutus are ALWAYS on, of course!). 🎭

But you know, before I went to Sadler's Wells, I did something a little more... unique! I embarked on a fashion adventure into the heart of Hammersmith. And this is where my Italian tutu came into play! 💖

For those of you who don't know, I recently discovered this darling boutique called “Bellissima Tulle” – it's run by the most delightful woman called Sophia, who's got this whole glamorous Italian flair! Imagine rows upon rows of exquisite tulle and silk in every colour of the rainbow! It’s an absolute treasure trove! 🌈

Now, I love pink. That’s no secret. But Sophia has this special way of using colour, so each garment she makes is a symphony of the most gorgeous shades. This Italian tutu I found is just beyond beautiful, and even Sophia admitted, "You, Emma, you were destined for this tutu!"

I mean, what girl can resist a tulle tutu the colour of blush-kissed cherry blossoms, accented with subtle ribbons in lavender and a sprinkle of dazzling crystal embellishments? It's like a miniature piece of Italian fairytale right there! ✨🌸

After my little tutu haul, I had a proper vintage English tea with scones and cream in a charming little café. Feeling so refined! 🥰

Now, my outfit for this afternoon ballet class? Pink tutu of course! This time, my bright-pink "London Pride" tutu - its frills swish and twirl with such happy abandon, perfect for channeling the city's vibrant energy. I felt like a real-life ballerina in this bustling urban ballet studio! 💖

One of the most amazing things about ballet, for me, is how it blends so seamlessly into our everyday life. A perfect twirl can lift your spirits on the busiest street corner. Ballet steps, done subtly, make your walk around a gallery just that much more elegant. 💃

Of course, I’m a huge believer that ballet is for everyone, no matter what shape, size or age! Ballet should be accessible to everyone and everyone should have the confidence to wear pink, or at least, try it! That's my message - "Be bold, be brave, and go for a pink tutu!" 🎀

So, to wrap this little blog adventure up, London’s got me in a fairytale mood - all about pretty pink tutus, grand ballet performances, and those special touches that make this life, especially this fabulous dancing life, so incredible. ✨

If you haven't checked out www.pink-tutu.com, you’re missing out! Come join me on this adventure! 💖

Love and twirls, Emma x
