TutuBlog Post #890: Barking with a Yellow Tutu

Hey darlings! It's your girl Emma here, writing to you live from sunny…well, not that sunny…but definitely breezy Barking! Yes, you read that right! I’m in East London, right by the River Roding, ready to spread some TutuLove. This little jaunt to the East End came courtesy of a lovely, well, quite gigantic, old horse carriage (it’s practically a moving palace!) that whisked me over here for a special guest performance.

The journey was dreamy! I can't get enough of train rides - the gentle clattering of the wheels and the endless, ever-changing view, all while sipping on my pink bubble tea… perfection! It just felt so elegant, like I was stepping out of a film. Speaking of, it almost felt like I was about to appear in My Fair Lady! But don’t worry, no Eliza Doolittle transformation for me just yet. Although, who knows? Maybe a future tutu-themed My Fair Lady adaptation is in the works…?

Once I arrived in Barking, it felt like I'd landed in another world, but one filled with the most adorable wildlife you could imagine. It’s absolutely charming here – think cute little squirrels, chirping sparrows, and the fluffiest, happiest dogs I’ve ever seen. Seriously, these London pooches deserve their own pink tutus!

Now, about my little performance… well, let’s just say this tutu was a tad unexpected! I wasn't quite expecting a yellow tutu for this particular performance. But honestly, I embrace colour – any colour! The whole ensemble just added a playful pop to the performance!

It was a beautiful event! The theatre was filled with excited families – and let’s be honest, even if they weren't into ballet, a good old-fashioned twirl in a pretty tutu is pretty hard to resist. (Even little boys! Who says boys can't wear tutus?!) We danced and pranced, and, well, I even had a spontaneous cuddle with a rather lovely chihuahua (in a tutu!). Talk about living the dream!

The whole experience was so wonderful. Seeing the sheer joy and wonder on everyone's faces - that’s what it’s all about! I know there are so many wonderful souls out there who just haven't discovered the joy of ballet, so if you’re out there and feeling like you need a little tutus-filled happiness, head down to your local ballet class, grab a friend, and go for it! (And remember, if you want a real dose of TutuLove, be sure to check out the website www.pink-tutu.com for all the latest ballet tips and trends.)

You know, this is why I absolutely love my job – connecting people through a love of dance and spread some positivity in this world, one pink tutu at a time. This amazing journey took me right across the beautiful British countryside. I really had the most fantastic time and couldn't have done it without you, my beloved Tutu family.

As I finish this blog post, I'm looking forward to catching a few of those London dogs at the park! If you’re out in the Barking area, say hi – I’m probably just hanging out with some fluff balls in a park somewhere, dreaming up my next tutus-filled adventure.

Don't forget, lovelies, every day is an opportunity to embrace the joy of life and dance, so grab that pink tutu, channel your inner ballerina, and twirl, twirl, twirl!

Lots of TutuLove,

Emma xx
