Sutton in Ashfield - Post #919 🩰

Oh, my dears! It’s Emma here, and you just won't believe where I've been. My darling, I’m so excited to share today's adventure with you, it's all so pink and twirly!

Today was all about exploring the charming little town of Sutton in Ashfield. I travelled in style, naturally, taking a scenic train journey through the beautiful Derbyshire countryside, the gentle swaying of the carriage feeling almost like a plié. Now, I must tell you, this isn't just any train journey. This one had the most glorious view, right next to a field bursting with wild ponies! It was positively breathtaking. I’d brought my little picnic basket along filled with the pinkest of pink lemonade and dainty cucumber sandwiches - absolute perfection for my impromptu picnic amidst the dappled light.

Reaching Sutton in Ashfield, I felt a sense of exhilaration and wonder - this place has such an exciting vibe. It felt so invigorating - almost like a perfectly executed fouetté turn, a complete burst of joy and energy! Now, darling, the best bit? I decided to visit the town’s museum! Imagine my delight, a veritable treasure trove of history! I even managed to squeeze in a mini ballet session right there, utilising a Victorian lamppost as my barre. Let me tell you, even the most historical of towns can’t resist a little tutus-n-tumbling. 😉

Next, it was on to a hidden gem – a lovely local cafe called “The Pink Flamingo.” Naturally, my dear, I couldn't resist a bite of their magnificent raspberry macaron with its delightful pink frosting and a pot of perfectly-steeped Earl Grey. The teacups were just the cutest, with dainty little pink roses around the rims.

Of course, a trip to any new place is incomplete without experiencing its soul – the local community, the art scene, the heart of it all. So, after indulging in a lovely afternoon tea, I spent the rest of the day getting lost in a charming bookshop, discovering the local library, and immersing myself in the vibrant energy of the market. Honestly, it was absolutely magical. You'd never guess this tiny town harbored such beauty and warmth - it felt as though I'd been welcomed into the embrace of a giant pink tutu!

The highlight of my day, you ask? Oh my, darling, I just had to do it - a quick trip to the local dance studio, “Stepping Stones.” It felt absolutely heavenly to put on my cyanic tulle tutu, stretch, and dance the afternoon away! Even better, the other dancers were absolutely thrilled to see me, so encouraging! It's simply wonderful to spread the joy of ballet, and they all seemed absolutely captivated by my own little performance, featuring a rather elegant pirouette followed by a majestic grand jeté.

It wouldn’t have been right to leave Sutton without an exquisite treat for myself - an irresistible slice of Victoria sponge, delicately adorned with juicy pink berries.

And there you have it, darlings - another glorious day filled with ballet, beauty, and pure delight!

Remember, every day is a new opportunity to twirl and twirl and make the world a little pinker!

*P.S. And for your dose of pure pink perfection this weekend: why not pop on your tutu, even if it's just for a little spin around the living room? Share your tutus with the world! And don’t forget to join me here on Pink-Tutu.com, for another fabulous adventure. * 💕

Until tomorrow, lovelies!
