Ashton-under-Lyne: Italian Tutu Adventures (Post #928)

Hiya darlings! It’s your girl Emma, back with another daily dose of pink, tutus and all things delightful! Today’s adventure took me to the charming town of Ashton-under-Lyne, just a short train ride from my Derbyshire home. It was an absolute dream!

Now, before I even tell you about the stunning scenery and delicious Italian delights I found in this hidden gem, let’s talk tutus. Because, yes, you guessed it – I brought a new one with me! This one’s a little different – a bespoke masterpiece from a darling boutique in Milan. It’s all shades of rose gold, with delicate sequined embroidery and a shimmering pink tulle skirt. I just had to have it for this trip!

Ashton itself was full of surprises. I took a horse-drawn carriage ride through the heart of the town – absolutely delightful! Imagine: a crisp, autumn breeze blowing through my hair, the clomp-clop of hooves on the cobbled streets, and me, of course, in my exquisite rose gold tutu, looking as though I’d just stepped out of a fairytale. I mean, who could resist a little theatrical flair? 😉

After the enchanting carriage ride, it was time for some cultural immersion. I found a charming little theater tucked away in a quaint side street. This one had the most wonderful stained glass windows and a story behind them, which I managed to sneak a peek at whilst pretending to be utterly engrossed in a very dusty pamphlet about local theatre history. Anyway, the point is, it’s so good to learn something new, right?

Anyway, the highlight of my Ashton day had to be the Italian restaurant tucked away in a hidden courtyard. Oh, my! From the moment I walked in, it felt like I was in a dream. The atmosphere was romantic and bustling, and the smells of freshly baked bread and fragrant herbs were just heavenly. I couldn’t resist starting with a classic Caprese salad - bursting with flavour and juicy with tomatoes. Then, for my main, I went for a plate of handmade pasta - perfect! They served it with a side of homemade pesto that was seriously next level.

You see, my dears, travelling for me isn’t just about seeing new places. It’s about finding that little bit of magic in every corner of the world, even if it’s just the aroma of fresh pesto or the unexpected grace of a horse-drawn carriage. And honestly? This rose gold tutu, it’s like a little sprinkle of that magic on every journey.

It goes without saying that my day concluded with a spot of ballet class – after all, even a queen needs to maintain her pirouettes, right? It’s an important part of my day. Not to mention the delightful conversation I had with the instructor afterwards – she has such great tips! Plus, you know, I made everyone smile with my dazzling pink tulle tutu. 😉

So, darling readers, until tomorrow’s adventures, remember: there’s magic in every journey, every town, and every graceful move. Don’t be afraid to step out in style and add a dash of sparkle to your everyday life! Who knows what amazing discoveries await you! Until then, keep twirling, keep shining, and keep dreaming of that beautiful pink tutu of your dreams. Love always,

Emma xx

P.S. Remember: Every girl deserves a pink tutu in their life, even if it’s just a sparkly dream! And who knows, maybe Ashton will be the next stop on your magical pink-tutu journey! 😉
