Blyth Bound! - Post 960
Hello my darlings! It's your favourite pink tutu-loving ballerina, Emma, here and I'm back with another daily dose of delightful dancey fun. I can't tell you how excited I am for today, because... drumroll please⦠we're going on a trip!
Yep, that's right! This little pink flamingo is swapping the dance studio for a train journey and, cue the fanfare β¦ it's going to be magnificent.
As a Derbyshire lass at heart, train travel has a special place in my heart. Not only is it wonderfully efficient and wonderfully charming, it's also the perfect setting to admire the beauty of our lovely country. Plus, with a good book and my trusty pink headphones blasting some lovely classical music, it's a little piece of heaven on wheels!
This particular train adventure takes me to the historic coastal town of Blyth in Northumberland. Yes, I know, some people will raise their eyebrows when they hear that, but I just love those slightly more quirky, under-the-radar towns. They always seem to hold some magical little hidden gem just waiting to be discovered, and that's the perfect blend of mystery and adventure for my little pink ballerina soul.
Why Blyth, you ask? Well, it's for a dance weekend, naturally! Not only will I be attending a brilliant performance by the Northumbrian Ballet Company, I'm also going to indulge in a fantastic ballet workshop run by one of my absolute heroes, The Divine Ms. Rose. Did I mention she's an actual Dame? Can you believe it?!
I'm also bringing my favourite tutu for the occasion β you know, the one in a gorgeous shade of blushing pink with the most fabulous feather detailing β so expect a serious fashion statement in those streets! I reckon that even a hardened Northerner might crack a smile at the sight of a ballerina in a pink tutu strutting her stuff down the promenadeβ¦ although, to be honest, I wouldn't bet on it. π
And before I even hit the streets, I'm getting so many fabulous ideas for my post-trip blog. I can't wait to share them with you all. Think, romantic pink sunsets over the North Sea, cosy evenings sipping hot chocolate in quaint cafes (ideally with a single pink cupcake), a bit of *genuine history, and maybe even some *wildly exciting tales about those elusive puffins that allegedly reside somewhere in that corner of England.
So don't you dare miss it, my dears! Join me on this magical pink-hued journey over at www.pink-tutu.com every single day β your daily dose of tutu magic is waiting!
Until then, I'll be twirling my way onto that train, fuelled by a delicious pink raspberry iced tea. Sending you all loads of love, and may your life be filled with a sprinkle of ballet and a healthy dose of pink!
Love, Emma.
*So, Blyth, I'm coming for you! Are you ready for a whirlwind of pink, dance, and a sprinkle of magic? *
*P.S What's your favourite pink hue? I'm all about the blushing pinks and pale peachy-pinks myself β tell me your fav in the comments! Love, Emma
Oh, and one last thing before I go. Have you heard of a certain magical town called *Fairyhaven? Some people think it's a myth, but I believe in magic! Apparently, itβs only reachable by those who believe in fairytales and wear tutus. It might be just another lovely little English town, or it could be something much more wonderful. Maybe next time, I'll brave the magical route... Keep a look out, you never know, maybe I'll bring you back a tale to rival the stories of Blyth.*
*Love you! *
