Wigston Magna: A Whirlwind of Pink Tutu Magic! 🩰💖

Hello my dearest tutu-lovers!

It’s Emma here, back from another fabulous adventure, and let me tell you, Wigston Magna certainly didn't disappoint!

Today’s journey began with a crisp morning in my little corner of Derbyshire. I decided to take a delightful horse-drawn carriage ride to the station - nothing beats a bit of old-fashioned charm, and it definitely gets the day off to a fabulous start. The sun was out, the birds were singing, and even the horses seemed to be wearing smiles (I'm sure they were just excited to get a bit of exercise!).

Arriving at the station, I spotted a particularly eye-catching shade of pink on the platform - a perfect blush, just the shade of my favourite ballerina shoes! I'm always on the lookout for colour inspiration, so this had me utterly delighted.

After a comfortable journey in a first-class carriage (gotta treat myself, you know!), I arrived in Wigston Magna. The air buzzed with excitement - I could feel the vibrant energy of a town embracing its inner tutu-wearer!

Wigston Magna, despite being relatively small, has an incredibly diverse scene. First stop - a delightful tea shop, nestled down a cobbled street. You'd be forgiven for thinking you’d stepped back in time, surrounded by charming floral wallpaper and antique furniture. They even had the most incredible selection of teas, from Earl Grey to Strawberry and Champagne (perfect for a tutu-tastic afternoon!). The owner, a lovely lady with a twinkle in her eye, even wore a blush pink scarf – she’s definitely a tutu enthusiast at heart, I just knew it!

Feeling revitalised and brimming with tea-time energy, I wandered into the heart of Wigston Magna. I spotted a local crafts market bursting with colourful stalls, filled with handmade goodies, each one more dazzling than the last. From delicate beaded necklaces to vibrant ceramic mugs, I found a perfect pink gift for my dearest mum. Who can resist a beautifully crafted, pastel pink ceramic mug?

As the afternoon sun began to bathe Wigston Magna in a soft, warm glow, I decided it was time for a bit of ballet! A quick google search led me to a delightful ballet studio, nestled discreetly above a local pub. Stepping through the doors, I was met with a symphony of graceful movements. The space was a haven for budding ballerinas - pink and white walls adorned with delicate sketches, and floor to ceiling mirrors reflecting graceful figures in pink leotards.

It was simply intoxicating - the joy and pure beauty of the art form always has me mesmerized. Watching them pirouette with such effortless grace was breathtaking. For a moment, I almost found myself reaching for my trusty tutu. (Let's be honest, it's always packed, just in case! You never know when you might be inspired to do a quick ballet flash mob!).

The rest of the evening was spent exploring Wigston Magna's vibrant food scene. From a mouthwatering Italian trattoria to a cozy English pub with a roaring fire and friendly locals, Wigston Magna really has it all. It's clear to see that the community spirit here is thriving.

Just before leaving, I caught a glimpse of a playful fox darting between the trees in a nearby park. It was a beautiful reminder of nature's artistry. There’s nothing quite like a playful fox to end a perfect day! I think even he was mesmerized by the thought of wearing a pink tutu, I could almost see the little mischievous spark in his eye!

Overall, my time in Wigston Magna was a pure joy. I'm adding this little gem to my must-visit list. There's something truly enchanting about towns that haven't forgotten the power of grace, laughter, and a good cup of tea.

Wigston Magna, you’ve certainly inspired me! I have a feeling my next post will involve some new tutu ideas inspired by your charming streets.

And to everyone reading this, don't forget – life is too short not to wear pink tutus! Be bold, be beautiful, and most importantly, never stop dancing!

See you soon, tutu-lovers!

Emma xoxo
